Or is your definition of selling out making music that doesn't appeal to you

I find that statement very true, just because fans don't like the dirrection a band is heading they call them sell outs

why are you angry and disappointed? At least they didn't make us give back the SIGN DVD. I get my *NEW* one tomorrow. Since my defective one played on DVD, I told my friend to hold the *good one* till I came up to visit her.

I only watched the DVD 2 times. I can't watch the show in one sitting. I either fall asleep or don't have time. It tookd me three days to watch it the first time.

I like the DVD. I only wish it wasn't so dark, but OLP's stage was dark. Plus I would of loved if they had a close up of Steve during the part of in Not Enough with the guitar right before Raine breaks into the "what you got part". I love watching him play that live. Isn't that the case with most of us? What we may remember or love about a show is not necessarily what someone else might.

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

Just watch the different angles of Not Enough on the extra videos section. They have the close up on Steve and probably during that part.

Well, here's my take on all of this.

I do think many people are over reacting about the delays. Like people have said, they have lives, and have had many changes in the past year or two. And look at all the material we have gotten from them during the time they've been around. It's alot more than most bands give.

Anyways, about the delays.

I find it really nice that the band is showing some effort in pleasing the fans. When i hear that they hope to releasing the cd early 2004, i become very pleased. It makes me know that the band is working hard. When it gets delayed, sure it's a dissapointment, but i know that it means more work is being put into the album. I guess what i am trying to say is that, it is better for me to be dissapointed a little bit than to completely forget that the band is eve working on an album.

I can totally understand why people think OLP has "sold out." It's not just the fact that Gravity was much more straightforward and polished than their previous albums. In support of Gravity, they did shows with Avril Lavigne and plenty of other musically deficient acts, and now Avril is even recording her next album at Raine's house. It sort of seems fishy, and I can't help but think, "What is going on with these guys? They're much too talented to be involved with this crap." Do I really think they sold out? I don't know. A lot of bands who aren't your "typical" style have put out more digestible albums as more of an experiment than anything else, I think. It's just with OLP, I think they failed at their experiment, and released a way too friendly album that sounded like a lot of other bands out there. I think my opinion will be sealed with this next album. I've actually seen this with a lot of people regarding OLP. Even with their disdain for Gravity, they still haven't given up hope that Gravity was more of a detour than a completely washed out new path.

As far as the delay, give me a break. How many bands actually release an album less than two years after the orevious one? I know OLP did it before, and so have other bands... but it's very rare. Things get delayed. It's no surprise. There are a few bands I like right now who are projecting an end of the year release date for new albums. They won't happen because all of them released an album last year.

Please, haven't we all talked about their supposed "sell out" enough already?

Yes we have. At least Dread states his case in a thoughtful manner. Better than the foul ape cries of embittered whiners.
