New Blink 182
Well, I'm in a disagreement with most of you then.
As I listened to the new album, I was constantly reminded of previous work.
Not just because of the constant 8 power chords over again, not because the lyrics are similar, but because I could of sworn i've already heard this album before. OR, its because these are the songs that weren't fit for the previous ones and were scratched, because they suck so much. I could of sworn there were repeated guitar riffs from Enema, or TOYPAJ but just altered enough so it could be a new song. This is no different than previous work, which was awesome for its time, but now they used the same stuff again from 2 years ago except this is non-catchy and lazy.
When Joey told me about the letter being read on the album, I was like "Whoa" When I heard it, it didn't have a great effect on me. Whomever read it, was not suitable for the part. When I heard the track that was before the 'letter reading' I almost shot myself in the head having to listen too Tom Delonge trying to "rap".
[Simon Cowell] Absolutely Pathetic. [Simon Cowell]
Track 7 the fallen interlude, was horrible. Lets make a jamacian song guys! ....
"And get that bass riff going, yeah yeah thats good! (Now hey Mark do you think you can learn how to play that? I'm sure the guy we hired to make it will show you how) Now lets play that 1 chord over and over again and random intervals! YEAH we made a song!!! Now lets hire some black guy to sing! Cool! We're so amazing! those morons who buy this crap won't know what hit them!"
The only song I would reccomend, is "I Miss You" Which is definetly a download, nothing more.
This album gets an unsatisfactory 1 out of 5. I sincerely hope its their last.

I really like the new blink 182 album. Its so much better than the last one. I couldn't even bring myself to buy that one. I really enjoy the new one and actually feel they are trying to be a real band this time and not just goofing off. "I MISS YOU" is amazing.
