Maybe the guy running is seen breaking out of the room that they're playing in. So the ones "observing" them are also the ones chasing the guy.

Perhaps. I should be a video director. I would have oodles of fun with it, not to mention I think I made a badass video for a song that OLP seems to hate now.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

Seems to hate now? They just don't play it any more because it's a non-single from an album that they're no longer supporting with their tour.

Granted, it does suck that they don't play more old stuff, but it makes sense.

How many more times can they shove All For You and Do You Like It down the crowd's throat? When they play shows and all they hear from the crowd is people screaming "Play The Wonderful Future" or people making signs saying "Play Blister" you'd imagine that they might get the hint and play it once in a while. They rotate old songs once in a while, so maybe for a show or two they can play Blister like the crowd wants.

that would be cool if the two videos could be combined. I always have pictured them all playing pretty much normally, except in the 'don't touch me' part, raine throws himself against the mirror and sings the line to the scientists.

hey I just had a thought, what if the band were the ones being chased (ie your idea) and when they're playing in the padded rooms is when they've finally been caught and are being kind of 'studied'.

I'm actually kind of glad that most of these weren't released as singles. It's kind of cool to have them as the gems that only we as OLP fans can enjoy.

I mean, think about some of the songs that could have been released. Can you imagine walking down the street and hearing some ten year old girl singing "but you just might be that little blonde at their side".

Hey, I have an idea...

Is anyone here really really really really really good at flash animation? 'Cause then we would probably be able to make somewhat almost as good as the real thing videos to these songs..

I bet a whole lot of people probably have or have had this idea at one point :freak:

Although I like how you people want to combine my idea of the video with another, I just don't want to let it happen. This video is my gem, I love my ideas for it and I want to keep them my own. I am not putting anyone down here, but I just have this idea set in my mind for how it should go. I like my ideas of black and white with flashes of color. I like the whole deadly ending. I just like how I do it. I bet Rob feels the same way about his video. I am sure he wouldn't want a random guy aiming a shotgun at another man at the end of his. Well, all videos that don't involve someone getting shot suck anyway.

Well, I know that, but with art, it's either all or none. No two artists ever want to work together. It's about one's ideas and imagery, and if you add another's ideas, you have a mess on your hand.

Car Crash

-- bass riff --
Starts off zoomed in on Duncan's bass. Zooms out to show band playing at night, in a light rain, in the middle of the road. Shot of person in car, driving.

-- tired --
Band shot.

-- and jaded --
Changes to show person driving in car. They look tired. Kind of zoned out, like they're not really paying attention to anything going on.

-- have you been there --
Raine's head comes around the front seat, whispering into the driver's ear "have you been there? have you been there?

-- but time is on your side --
Back to band shot

-- are you listening --
Same as "have you been there", but other ear.

-- they want you to know --
Band shots

-- but it's too much to take --
Person suddenly looks pissed off

-- so you're running, oh, running away --
view of speedometer, speeding up like mad

-- but ooh ooh --
Band shots again

-- it's more than I can bear --
Band shots, going back and forth between from the front of the band, to behind them. From both directions, there are cars coming (one each direction), right down the yellow line.

The band fades away, right before the heavy part.

-- heavy part --
The two cars hit. Hard. At each of the hard beats, it shows another angle of the crash, then starts showing different pieces of the cars hitting the grown.

-- bass riff --
Shows both cars wrecked. One upside down. (in the rain, of course)
They're just off to the side of the road.

-- car crash --
Band reappears in the road.

-- are you trembling --
Mike leaves his guitar behind and goes over to the upside down car, bends down and mouths the words "are you trembling, are you trembling" to the unconcious person

-- they'll wake up --
More band shots, then a cop getting a call on his little radio thing.

-- swerving --
Zoom in on cop's accelerator, speeds away at "much too late"

-- and ooh ooh --
Band shots, cop car shots

(no more details as to timing, I've got to go)

Cop is coming up to the scene, sees band playing. Swerves to avoid band. Band dissappears, cop hits overturned car.

More band shots, etc. The band looking in to the cars.

At the very end, the band is walking away from the three wrecked, steaming cars in the rain. We see the band's backs fading off into the distance as the song fades to the end.

I remembered something else...

-- they want you to know --
Quick flashbacks of the driver yelling at someone, slamming the front door of a house. Then back to them in the car.

Oh, and the cop would have a flashback of him leaving home, kissing his wife and kids goodbye. For the last time, obviously.

Holy crap. I'm a bit late, but I just want to say that I wish you guys were all video directors. My god.

Is there any way we can go back in time and force OLP to make these?... All of them???

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.
