I've read the first 3 four times and the fourth 3, and working on the fourth, and I need to get a second copy of all of them becase pages are fallen out, spines are broken, and I'm missing covers, so when I get a job that will probley be one of the first things I buy, and then never open them.

^ I did that with the LOTR series .. I have 2 boxed sets .. I only bought the hardcover HP books and their in mint condition .. I take the cover off when I read them. I'm very anal about keeping my books in good condition

Whats wrong with keeping your books in good condition?

um .. that's why I said I'm very anal about it .. my books have to be in good condition .. I don't dog ear pages or bend the spine etc.

Books i really really like are abused, torn, but never neglected. Take "The Age of Spiritual Machines" for example, that book has been my bible for a year, and it looks like someone tried to have sex with it.

i think it's gonna be dumbledore (which will be very sad) because he's the only one that voldemort's scared of, and so it would be more interesting if harry is more alone against voldemort.

Can't be Dumbledore .. before Richard Harris died (the dude that played him) he had originally signed on to do all the movies. Warner, or whoever does it is commited to do 4 movies, but there's talk of doing all 7 and Richard had apparently agreed to stay for the length .. if his character dies it won't be until the end. I think his character is way too important to be killed off so soon.

So sorry, it's just that everytime I walk into a bookstore I tend to find Harry Potter right next to Pokemon. Sorry, I get confused sometimes. Now, try to tell me that Pokemon isn't a children's thing "it's just marketed that way", and I'll have to shoot you. Also, I don't consider books with a reading age comprehension level between the ages of 9-12 to be aimed at anyone other than pre-teen 'audiences'. Sorry, instead of refering to it as a 'childrens' series, I shall now refer to it as a 'pre-teen' series.

Harry Potter was never meant to be a children's series .. children of all ages read the books, adults read the book .. there's different covers of the books designed specifically for adults .. there is no age group to the book .. drop it already. Harry Potter is a series for anyone who wants to read it. Children AND adults.

true, but i don't think jk rowling is going to change how any of the stories go depending on stuff to do with the movie. it just seems to me that if anyone is going to die in the next book, i think, based solely on the books and not the movies, that it will be dumbledore. besides, just because he's dead it doesn't mean that he can't still be in the story (memories, flashbacks, etc.).

I guess .. but JK works very closely with producers of the movies and the script writers and she's already given them a lot of hints towards the rest of the movies should there be anymore. The books (according to JK) have already pretty much been written .. she of course isn't going to change anything for the basis of the movie .. the movies follow the books, not vice versa. Anyway, I'm not saying it's Dumbledore and I'm not saying it is .. I just don't think that'd be very wise .. the person who dies is supposed to be VERY close to Harry .. Dumbledore and Harry are close but not enough that his death would impact Harry too much .. which is why Hagrid is the first choice .. Hagrid is Harry's confidante and friend .. this is just from message boards and discussion groups I'm getting the info from .. none of it is fact, just what I think.

Oh and I didn't mean that since Richard died, Dumbledore's character won't be in the movies .. they've already selected another Dumbledore for the 3rd movie .. I just meant Richard had signed on for all the movies.

what i meant was that if dumbledore (the character) died, he could still be in the movies. but anyway, dumbledore is just a hunch i've had since before i even heard anyone was going to die, but i really have no idea.
