Someday I might.
I think that for me, not liking rap is a good enough reason

are you going to stop listening to olp too?
OK, there is a difference between a full priced remix cd and a live cd that is given away with another cd. Yeah, I bought Gravity the day it came out, and no, I don't have the live cd yet, but I will. And let me tell you, they're not re-releasing Gravity. There is no changes to it, they just happened to add a live cd to it. If OLP made their music techno like Linkin Park did, then we can talk about re-releasing a cd. And I didn't get the Spiritual Machines live cd either because I crossed the boarder to get the Canadian Spiritual Machines, and I didn't get the toque either, I got shafted. Anyways, the American fans could have gotten the live cd with SM because I was at an OLP concert the day the cd came out, and they were giving the live cd away with SM. But seriously, OLP has done nothing like Linkin Park has, so

hm. this thread is interesting.
I'll keep what I want to say to myself, considering I just started posting here and don't want people getting pissed at me. yes, everyone's entitled to their own opinions, but some people don't realize that. I've learned that many times over.
what I WILL say is, I'm a die-hard fan of both OLP and LP. she didn't ask for people to come in here saying they suck or whatever, and she said that.
Reanimation was a side project that blew up. I doubt they're after extra cd sales. but some of the tracks do suck, lol. I still haven't bought it - just downloaded the ones I liked. I HATE rap, too, but for some reason I love rap-rock. I have no idea why. and that's part of the reason I despise a few tracks on Reanimation.
Lazy? no.
and I don't think I've made any sense, lmfao.
don't listen to me. I'm high on caramel.

*sigh* right but stillthey relesed the cd and then later made up a bonus and added it to the cd. Hell they did that for the last THREE cds. I got the extra thing on SM cos I got it on ebay, and then with happiness you could get needle and the damage done (which I have) and now this. Thats a marketing stradgity to get more cd sales. I didn't mean they were just re-releasing the same cd. But we payed full price for a cd we probably already had just for 3 live songs.
Its like saying "if you bought the cd the day it came out thanks! but if you buy it again we'd like to say thanks again and give you some crappy live shit you can get anywhere online!"
LP didn't think this cd would be #1 they just wanted to do it. It wasn't 18.99 (if you payed that you got screwed and I recomened emailing they'er site becasue it isnt supposed to be. There is a thread on the message board that says so) .
You act like Linkin Park forces young kids to hand over their hard earned 13 bucks with guns in their hands. They already told people hey download it! They are aware of the sites that have the entire cd for d/l for free. They don't care about the money. They didn't add NEW songs to the cd because thats would be a ploy to get kids who DONT want the remix cd at all to buy it. The new stuff is set aside for the real new cd. This way if you dont like the remix idead you dont have to fret about buying it anyway because 3 new songs are on it.

You just don't get it, do you? Making a remix cd when you have a total of 12 songs is incredibly asenine. It's like a band releasing their debut cd as a double cd with something like 20-24 songs on it, then after a year releasing a greatest hits cd with 10-12 of those songs on it. Linkin Park should have spent their time making new music instead of making their old music techno. If you don't understand where I'm coming from right now, then don't respond to my post, because you never will get it.

hmm...i know she didn't ask for us to come in and say whether or not linkin park sucks...but.....linkin park sucks...and that's just my opinion..and i'm just spamming anyways, so it doesn't really matter. i understand why people like them, though. they've got a sound...it's just not my sound. so i guess i shouldn't say that linkin park sucks. i should just say that i don't like them....
p.s....i agree with alan. that was stupid to release a remix cd...and great usage of the word asenine...people don't use that word enough!

You're special Jaqui
I just want to say, I don't think LP sucks or anything, because they're extremely talented, I just lost respect for them after that cd.

"special" haha...last time someone said that it was in substitution of the word "retarded". it was just after i said something really rediculously stupid and my one friend turned to me, held my hand, and said, "jacqui..you're special, very special"
ahhh...spam flows from my finger tips so easily...

No i get what your saying. Trust me.
Linkin Park doesn't suck. And if you think so please go and do what they have done. Thats sell over 8 million cds, win a grammy, and a vma. (we'll start slow ok?)

btw the term suck would mean they have no talent.
I hate the mathew good band, Red Hot Chillie Peppers, and sugar ray but I'm not going to say they suck.

Don't know.
Saying "that band sucks" is based on opinion and not based on how many awards they've won.
Besides, I wouldn't take VMAs too seriously. Grammies maybe, but not MTV's VMAs
Oy...I'm done.
Bottom line: I don't like Linkin Park and I think they're overrated. To each their own. As I see it, MGB and OLP far exceed them, even if they're not as popular in the states as they are in Canada.
