I really shouldn't have procrastinated on following your greatness advice... then I'd have gotten in. I should probably get on that now. After more Spider Solitaire.

The world is a mixed up place right now. Sometimes I wonder how ethical it truly is. Hopefully society will someday reach some sort of common goal and unity will be the basis and backbone of our decisions.

I really don't know Rob... All I know is that you should do your best to guide her in the right decision, give her advice and help her understand what you're trying to say and that what you're saying is for her benefit.

It's marker. Your little brother thought it would be funny to draw on you while you were sleeping. He was going to draw on your face, but just as he started, you rolled over and startled him, so he ran away.

My guess is she forgot to put on the crock pot. That's a slow cooker by the way. I could be totally off on this one... but that's my guess!

You know, that's really not fair. You can't ask me questions to get me to give myself an answer! You didn't say WHY she messed it up...geesh.

Lando, why are we asking you questions?

Actually

I have such a problem with this. If I were a character in a Shakespearean play, this would definitely be my tragic flaw.

However, I believe that it's all about changing the pattern of your lifestyle. If you put enough effort into changing one little thing in your life and stick with it, and then gradually build up from there, change another thing etc... and continue to stick with it, you should be able to change your lifestyle to the point where procrastination is just another thing that you have to change. It shouldn't be too hard because you've already stuck with other things, thus kind of overcoming parts of procrastination slowly already so it won't even seem like an obstacle anymore.

Thought I'd share my "Seven Day Procrastination Plan." One of the counsellors at the school wellness centre gave it to me when I started doing crappy. I dunno if it works, I've been putting off reading it. :P

Monday: Make it meaningful
Write down what you've been putting off doing and your reason for doing it underneath. Be specific about the payoff and rewards.

Tuesday: Take it apart
Break jobs into small, manageable parts. Make it something you can accomplish in 15 min or less. If a long reading assignment intimidates you, break it into three page sections and cross them off as you complete them.

Wednesday: Write an intention statement
Write your statement on an index card and carry it with you or post it in your study area where you can see it often. For example, if you have a term paper to write and can't get started, write yourself a statement that says, "I intend to write a list of at least ten possible topics for my term paper by 9 pm. I will reward myself with an hour of guilt free TV."

Thursday: Tell everyone
Make the world your support group. (And naggers...)

Friday: Find a reward
It should be something you would genuinely withhold if you didn't earn it. Don't pick a movie as a reward if you plan to go anyway. Notice if you enjoy your reward more when you feel like you've earned it.

Saturday: Settle it now
Do it now. The minute you notice yourself procrastinating, plunge into the task. Imagine yourself at a mountain lake. Jumping in is less often less painful than slow immersion.

Sunday: Say no
If you keep putting something off, re-examine why you're doing it at all. If you realise you really don't intend to do something, quit telling yourself you will. Tell the truth and drop it. Then you're not procrastinating, and you don't have to carry around the baggage of an undone task.

Try to ignore the kitschy-ness.

"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.

This stems from ancient belief that you're not enjoying yourself.

Why aren't you? Because you're bored!

So, to be unbored, you have to do something fun that you enjoy.

Like playing pac-man or rolling dice or eating bread crusts.

Apocalypse, or En Sabah Nur which means "The First One" was technically the first mutant in the Marvel universe. Believed to be born born nearly 5000 years before present day, he is one of the strongest mutants ever created. His powers range from enhanced strength, molecular control, levitation, self sustinance to psionic transferral, telepathy and the ability to travel to different realities/times as well as his vast knowledge of advanced technologies.

The key word in this however; is the word "born"

The best way I can explain the reason he did die, or can die is because even though believed to be immortal, he did have a beginning. And as the saying goes: "Everything that has a beginning has an end."

That's the most logical reasoning I have to a highly illogical comic book universe!

Thanks for your question.

This is simple. Everyone in the world supposedly has a double. Not an exact double, but maybe someone that looks like you, or that you look like.

In this case, he thought you looked like his mother, only younger and hotter. That's probably why he didn't say too much after that...

Either that or he's on heavy drugs... but I doubt that, I heard that drugs were on the "OUT" or "UNCOOL" list since the early 1980s.

Lando, why are we asking you questions?

No one else knew it was your own answer! That's gotta count for something!

And the reason she messed up is because she heard there was going to be a General Hospital marathon on tv, so she went to check to see if it was true... When she found out it wasn't true, she was diappointed and forgot to turn on the pot to cook the noodles.

And as for the reason you're asking me questions, well everyone already knows that answer!

Who else would you ask questions to? Exactly. No one. You could ask someone else, but are you really going to receive the caliber of answers that I give from someone else?

Since I'm asking you this question, and it's a thread for me to be asked the questions, I'll answer that one on my own.

The answer is:

No.

I didn't mean it like that. I just thought my plan was probably like .01% better. To be honest, I think people might benefit more from following your plan than mine.

Mine's just kick ass, that's all.
