...

Jennsen just got Sebatian out of prison, and is being confronted by Nyda, the Mord-Sith. This is such a great book. At the same time I'm thinking "Yes, Jennsen! You've got her fooled this time! Stupid Mord-Sith!" and "Yes, Nyda! Shove that deeper into that spy asshole! Protect the Lord Rahl!" And now I'm wondering what the hell Nathan is doing there, and what Richard's going to do about it...

DoB isn't exactly in the series. and i still haven't read it! and i think brent mentioned TNE a while ago didn't he? either that or i read the preview in the back of one of the most current books. i thought you knew about it :freak:

Nope, I didn't know about it.

You know the drill...

Freidrich just met up with Richard, and Oba (with the help of "The Voice" [which, if I recall correctly, is the Keeper/the Underworld]) just kidnapped Kahlan, and took the Sword.

I swear, Richard needs to put a lock on that thing. :P

 Yeah!

I finished PoC last night! Oh my god, that was the perfect ending!

Jennsen: You sure know a lot about magic.
*Kahlan and Cara laugh so hard that they almost fall off their horses*
Richard [grumbles]: I don't see what's so funny...
*Kahlan and Cara laugh all the harder*

I'm going to go to chapters today and get DoB. There wasn't enough Zedd in PoC (although, Zedd's part of the book was very good).

Well, I went to Chapters! I went to where I knew the SoT series is, and lo and behold! There was one copy of DoB! I grabbed it, enticed by the cover art and the hard cover, and made my way to the cash. Only when I got to the line did I check the price... $27.99 (Can). My jaw dropped. Before I paid for it, I asked one of the workers (not at the cash) if they had it in soft-cover. Nope. "But I think it's in some anthology..." "Do you have that?" She checked the computer. "No, we don't have it. We had four ordered for Jan 2, but they haven't come in yet". So, I figured, what the hell, I've got the cash. I bought it. :)

Luckily the hardcover of DoB is smaller than a normal hardcover, both in book length and in overall shape and size.

yeah i know, but they're still a pain. the dust jacket to my FotF got shoved away on some shelf somewhere long long ago.
