Brian, are you sure you're willing to pick me up from the airport July 1? I'm arriving at around 6am..
So overall, which is better from the airport to the Metropolitan...bus or TTC?

And if you have participated in the quilt be sure to let me know... we're trying to get everyone who participated in the quilt who is at Edgefest to help hand over the quilt. It's not for sure, but that's what we're trying to do. I need an idea of numbers when I'm talking to the tour manager... we're supposed to keep it to a minimum so just quilt participants.

Also if people can get their butts over to Ontario Place for noon we can have a rousing time in the Mega Maze. Admission to Ontario Place if free on the day fo the concert with your concert ticket.
again (trying not to sound like a broken record) who in this list is not staying at the hotel. I need to know the number of rooms we have booked.
Also if people can post their ETA in Toronto or at the Metro that would really help.
thanks....just over a week!!!!!!!

Unless N. Korea shoots off their missle, the US declares war, and seals up the borders to prevent people like me escaping to Canada to doge the re-instated draft ....
I'll be taking off from Columbus somewhere around Noon - 1pm on Friday and arrive in the greater Toronto metro area some 8 - 10 hours later.

Google says 8.5 hours, do you dare question Google??
But yea that's about how long it took me last time.
Going up I had delays with getitng pulled over and ticketed in Cleveland, then customs, then getting 2 blocks from the Drake only to find out there was construction and I couldn't find a way around for a bit.
Going back was more of a straight shot. I think I left around midnight pulled over twice to take naps for around 45 - 60 mins got back to CBus around 11.
So yea 8 - 10 hour drive sounds about right to me.

Google estimates are always longer than reality for me, except when traveling on long weekends

The reason why is because it goes by American speed limits. 55 and 60 mph which are the limits on US highways are sometimes 30-40kmh's lower than what you can do in Canada.
When I use mapquest or google maps simply use the KM's and divide by 120.

This is my first post here, but I am under the same name on olp.net.
I have a room reserved at the Strathcona Hotel as of right now (I looked at the hotels.ca site and it gave me the Soho Metropolitan for $235/night instead of the one that everyone else is staying at) So, I looked for something cheaper and found the Strathcona.
Is anyone else here staying there? Or will I be the only OLP freak there amongst a bunch of blue haired Tom Jones fans?
