I honestly think Naveed is a tough album to start a new fan with.........I think working backwards toward that album would be the best idea.

I know several people that became fans because of Gravity. So don't cry all you haters because it's definitely possible.

But you can't really do that right now cause they're not on tour.

And their current show doesn't give a fair representation of their older music.

My order:

SM
Gravity
Happiness
Naveed
Clumsy

I rather liked starting off with SM. Despite being the first album I ever bought, it's still my all time fav

I'm pretty sure mine went Happiness, Clumsy, Naveed, SM, Gravity... but I only bought Happiness because I downloaded a bunch of songs from Clumsy.
I just wanna get out,

My order was something along the lines of Gravity, Clumsy, SM, Naveed, Happiness...

The last three were all sort of at the same time though. I would either start with Gravity or Clumsy. If they are more Pop-y then Gravity. If they are more rock-y then Clumsy.

To be honest I saw Gravity on tv and heard it, and then they came here on tour. They played clips of Superman's Dead and Clumsy in the background and though, "Hey, that's who sings that!? I want to go." I didn't end up going, but definitely the live shows got me into them. I think it went Gravity, Happiness, Clumsy, Spiritual Machines, and then Naveed.

You're right. I think my OLP fan recruiting days are over, anyway.

I am a fine servant of the OLP cause.

I personally got started back in 1999 when I accidentally downloaded "Superman's Dead" (best accident of my life), but I now start off people with "Spiritual Machines".

I have converted three friends in the past year-and-a-half to semi-hardcore OLP status. Both of them own all six CDs, but their firsts were "Spiritual Machines".

SM has a poppy enough sound to attract casual listeners, but doesn't stray far from the "OLP Sound". The "OLP Sound", to me, is best represented from Clumsy - Spiritual Machines. Naveed as a whole is just a little edgy for a starting sound, although Starseed has such a cool vibe and would serve well.

I have never been able to get a friend to buy an OLP CD but I get them to download a lot of their stuff. I usually tell them to download stuff like, Life, Starseed, Clumsy, Not Enough, One Man Army, most of their singles. One of my friends downloaded Made Of Steel on his own and it became one of his all times favouite songs.

let them discover their own fav kind of OLP

god i dislike those of you who dont like OLP in the past 5 years!! get over it, they evolved and changed and still sound great!!

you cant give a person a song and make them like it and tell them how its "supposed" to be interpreted. Raine has said, each song means something to an individual in a dfrnt way. just let them decide for themselves what songs they like and how they wanna take them.
im sure many of us disagree on how alot of the songs are "supposed" to be about

for talent, you should let them listen to 'Starseed' and 'Car Crash'... for music and voice. they're the 2 best songs for that i say

I doubt they get enough royalties for a few CDs to make a difference.
