I saw that documentary. I thought it was well done. A tad outdated (1984), but it showed the realities of immigration. Personally I think there's nothing wrong with how they handle immigration. People with money should be allowed in, and people without shouldn't. We don't need more people to come in and be a burden on our system. We already have enough of those born and raised in Canada.

What if you're immigrating to Florida? Or Victoria, for that matter?
And if you're not going to thank me for the cake, I'm taking it back!

IMO, any American who favors putting restrictions on imigration (with the exception of the small percentage of Native Americans) is being hypocritical. Afterall, this country was built on immigrants.

Hypocritical??? How can you say that?
Deep down......(and I'm half Native American) you came off hypocritical.

I think he's trying to say that most of us wouldn't be allowed to immigrate if we were trying to come in from other countries.
Which is true. I personally am a lazy brat who was fortunate enough to be born in Saskatoon.
No comments on how it's hardly fortunate to be born in saskatoon.

Just because you live in the country doesn't mean you have to agree wholly with its origins or its imigration practices.
