actually the word thug comes from a longer egyptian word that means betrayer. back in the olden days there were thieves that would meet forigners and pretend to be their guides through the desert. but they would insteay betray the forigner and rob him and kill him out in the desert. betrayers that were caught would have the word THUG tatooed under their eye.
