Stupid Canada... up there mocking me with it's frothy beer, low age limits, and big, roomy spaciousness.
*considers a move to Canada*

What my mom and her friends would do when they went out to eat was buy a birthday cake that says "Happy 20th Birthday, ________", and their server would naturally assume they were of age to drink, and they would get horribly drunk.

most U.S places are told to card up to 30-40 years of age so it will be a while before many stop getting carded unless it is a place that just uses their judgement for 21

...I'm confused. You want to be a pirate now?
I'm kidding.
here, you can be 12 and go into any corner store and buy beer. As long as you have money, know where to go and have mild amounts of common sense.
Since St. John's is like the drinking capital of Canada though I don't think that counts for much.

I'm pretty sure you can order a beer at a mcdonalds in Germany and at quite a young age to. Let it be known that ordering a Mcbeer is now on my to-do list.

Wow, its funny that one thing of beer is a big deal. My brother and his friends have been going out drinking since they were 17, sometimes with fake IDs, but most of the time, not. If they got carded, they went somewhere else. If he went to a liquer store, he just pretended he left his wallet at home and they let him buy.
This one time him and all his friends were waiting in line to get in, and they just all passed their IDs up to the front of the line, and the bouncer didnt even bother checking faces, just looked at the cards and let them all in. Probably a good thing, considering his ID said he was 29, and he dont look no 29...
When all him and his friends turned 19, they went drinking of course...but not on their birthdays. They went the night before, not to celebrate being legal, but for one last night of being illegal. Hell, its more fun that way.
When I was in Mexico, they kept putting tequilla in my drinks, even when i didnt ask them to, and I am 15
