ok looks like it might be the end. One person from the show talked to a camera man who apaprently said "enjoy it we heard that this is the end". And also at teh end of the show Brian said "Thank you guys, i know every band says that at the end, but truely thank you, you guys will never know how much we appreciate you" " he also told a story about a dream he had were someone walked up to him that "there is no future in the past" and then he escaped out from under a burning boat..... doesn't sound good

possibly done, they haven't officially said it, but they with out a label, and have siad they will not be touring the current album anymore, and they also arn't making a new one soon, so they're effectivly in a hiatus

jim why all the tension towards IME?

my thoughts to Joel, but at least we havea KICK ASS DVD on the way. It's won't be as high quality or fancy as OLP's but they make up for it easily

I'm not hostile towards them. I truthfully was never a big fan of them, and upon hearing your initial post and the background information I came up with my earlier "we need money" theory. The last post I made was just me being blunt. Sorry if I offended you. IME was a great contributor to the Canadian music scene, and anytime a long-standing, well-known Canadian band is forced to call it quits its a sad day.

from what my friend told me yes they are done

and the whole retraction on the site to the original post regarding the "band being done" by christian could very well have been "forced" by universal.. sorta along the lines of the bill priddle 'n treble charger situation where he had quit months earlier and the label just spun things the way they wanted...

ive seen IME live about 5 or so times .. maybe 8.. i cant remember how many times in kingston, but none since QSMD came out unfortunately and had i been in TO, i would have been at that show for sure.. they are definately a great band and doing something for the fans since they are no longer gonna be around in all likelihood (atleast it seems that way)

i'm planning on sending them some thank you's, and support, we know how much they care about their fans, maybe they can be convinced to give it another shot, although i'm more then greatful for 4 SOLID albums, they never gave away any integrity, and chose to stay true instead of playing the game in the music world, i'm thankful for them making this effort for us as a gift as well. I can only hope that they can be convinced to changetheir mind
