Blue &
Yellow... OMFG. Listed in the rare category of "Does something to me" songs. I haven't heard any other songs from the Used that have this effect, but I'm only going by radio singles. I bought their latest CD, but haven't had a chance to listen to it yet. I can't imagine a band capable of delivering such a phenomenal song could produce a record of pure crap, so I'm pretty optimistic about it. Even if it's just a case of me convincing myself I like everything else based on the merits of that one song.

Ya know what Bort? That is what every band in the music industry does nowadays. Honestly, it's nearly impossible to find a cd of pure perfection that has been made since 1990, excluding the indie music scene. As long as bands have a couple of good songs, they will draw fans to their shows, and their total crap still makes them money. Plain and simple.

i'm not saying it has to be perfection...most bands with more than one great song on a cd, usually has an overall decent cd...most of the songs are listenable, and its easy to play the whole thing through without skipping tracks, or more than one or 2....
every band is gonna have their shitty filler songs; there's even one or two foo fighters songs i'm not too keen on....but i think its even more rare for a band to have such GREAT songs, but then have so many pieces of crap on the rest of the cd...
if it was only one good song, i wouldnt be complaing...there's tons of cds i bought back in the day because of 1 song, and i regret many of them dearly...but there's so much quality and potential there that it just irks me..its like theyre wasting their talent

i hate the used. i'm from utah, also. they are probably the lamest band, ever. it kind of makes the utah scene look bad, when in reality we have a lot of great local bands (The Downers, Hello Amsterdam, Coyote Hoods, etc) and the used suck ass. and bert mckracken is a moron.

is coming back from a long period of not posting, then making yourself look like an ass when you do come back, a new trend or something?

what? actually liking the used makes you look like a dumb ass, friend. but then again, you probably like all the shit that the radio spoon feeds you.
