hey brett, does ur dad own that pharmacy on howard? (i think thats the road)
my aunt owns it. its pretty crazy; she's a farmacist, 2 of my uncles are docs, so is my dad, and my gandpa is a retired doctor.

i still cant stand hospitals.

According to your answers, your political philosophy is left-liberal.
Left-Liberals prefer self-government in personal matters and central decision-making on economics. They want government to serve the disadvantaged in the name of fairness. Leftists tolerate social diversity, but work for economic equality.
Not surprised.

according to the thingy i am libertarian
"Libertarians are self-governors in both personal and economic matters. They believe government's only purpose is to protect people from coercion and violence. They value individual responsibility, and tolerate economic and social diversity."
i guess thats pretty close. i would say that my family, at least on my dads side, is upper class. my dad used to be an executive vice president for comerica until he became a whistleblower. my mom and stepdad however are both teachers. my dad and stepmom are very conservative and my mom and stepdad are liberals...so i suppose ive had the opportunity to hear both sides growing up (my parents were divorced when i was 6). i would say that im not necessarily in the right or the left, but not a mugwump either. im only 18, my political, economic and social philosophies are growing by the day so who knows where i'll stand in a few years? i dont know if the university i go to will have any effect on me or not but its very possible seeing as how ann arbor is the most liberal city in the state of michigan. i guess ill have to keep my mind pliers on me at all times.

heh ann arbor.
liberal city.
before i left, i saw some hippy barefoot guitar playing dredlock kids sitting by espresso royale, asking for money.
silly kids. hehe.
hmm and about me.
well, I guess I'm like middle-middle class, definitely not lower middle and not upper middle.
My dad died when I was 3.5 yrs old and we lived solely on social security money and the interest collected off the stock that my mom invested in with the money that she got from my dad's death and all
my mom got a job when i was like in 5th grade, she's a preschool teacher, and makes practically nothing, but she absolutely loves what she does, and has taught me that that is the most important thing in life.
Before, a great majority of her salary was spent on health insurance, becuase the school district refused to give her benefits
finally, they gave in, and now we don't have to spend 10,000 on shitty health insurance that covers nothing.
My mom has always sacrificed for us and she literally spends eveyrthing she has on my brother and me. She hasn't bought herself new clothes in years, yet has no problem shelling out 300 a month for my brother's hockey and god knows how much on private school education.
yeah, sure, i go to the university of michigan, which is damn expensive, but the only reason i can afford to go here is because my mom used some of the money that she got from my dad and put it into this trust fund thing that she got from the state.
i dunno. i can't say that i've had it rough financially, but i can't say i've had it easy. i've had a job since i was 16, and i never got anything i asked for, nothing was ever handed to me, I had to earn it.
going to a school where the majority of kids are wealthy has really hardened me too, i dunno, i realize how much some people have and it makes me sick. Material things have always been reinforced as an unnecessary thing in my family, and i'm realizing that this is not the case for many people.
oh yeah, and this is Bethany

My "pre life" situation was very similar to Corey's. My mom graduated from high school but got fortunate enough to get a job for the state of MN and has worked her way up rather decently since back then. My dad worked a couple of different jobs, and just before I turned 5 he was working in a small factory. We lived in a trailor until just before i started school, that's when my parents decided to relocate and move from a town of NOW about 30,000 to a town of about 900. They said it would be a lot easier to bring me up, which I suppose I am grateful for.

hmm well both my parents grew up fairly poor (my dad's family of 7 lived in a tiny 2 room apartment in brooklyn) and had to work at very early ages and do everything for themselves with absolutely no help from their parents. they both went on to become teachers which starts out paying shittily but then gets better and better the longer you do it.
my parents never wanted me to want for anything since they had all their lives, they basically wanted me to have everything they never did.
so right now my dad's retired and my mom's an assistant principal and we're doing pretty well, probably like upper middle-middle class. but definitely not quite upper middle since we live no where near that extravagantly nor do we have the means to.
my parents are both fairly liberal and so am i.

Yeah but even though your family makes good money it doesn't mean you have to soak it up in the lifestyle, so I give your family credit for that Kimmy.
Just as long as you're not a liberal who likes to bash the conservatives :lol;

Wow, this is a hard call. I guess you could call us middle-middle class? I don't know... we could afford to live in Burlington's upper-middle class area if we wanted to but they're really snobby and such around there, so we're in like, the next neighbourhood over (which isn't much better attitude-wise, frankly... most of burlington either a)is rich and shows it off or b)is middling but acts like they're rich)
Anyway. Both of my parents are immigrants, my mom is a dental hygienist who only works part time but still pulls in quite a good amount by industry standards, and my dad is the senior engineer at a fiber-optics company. So yup... we do ok.. enough to go visit family in Europe every summer or so if we budget right. And both my parents vote Liberal, but I think it's more out of a lack of real options than a hard-nosed party dedication.
lol by the way
"Some of those people are FAR too liberal, unlike all us hardened conservatives, heh."
"Wait a minute... how can you be conservative AND gay?"
Ha sorry. I'm done now.
