There were exceptions, like the week Layne Staley died, I listened to a lot of Alice In Chains, and sometimes for tournaments I would listen to Alkaline Trio. But yeah, it really helps to drown out the bad bullshit people call music, and it helps to not hear people's voices.
Heh.........I do sometimes. If we lose, on the way home, I listen to my player. But then you're not part of the team funness!!! Well, I guess the team thing may be more of an element in FH than tennis, since you play alone.
But you miss out on all the food fights, team bonding, and most important, playing dungeon

So I just sucked it up and learned all of John Mayer. Along with Avril. Then add every sucky teen band alive. I now know most BSB songs *shudder*.

I like John Mayer.
I mean, I don't think he's spectacular, but I enjoy listening to a John Mayer song every once in a while.
I don't think he's attractive though.

I actually plated doubles, so I was kind of on a team. I just didn't really talk to my partner all that much. He was too calm and I was too psychotic, we were a perfect match.
I would just sit on my ass and listen to music while the team ran and practiced before matches, and no one would do anything because they were scared of what I might do. I was too good and too valuable to lose, so I got to do whatever the fuck I wanted to, as long as it wasn't cocaine.

I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.
Hmm.. I like John Mayer. The name "Your Body is a Wonderland" might sound cheesy, but I think the lyrics are cool. Any girl would bang you immediately if you sang them to her
In fact, all of the lyrics to his songs are pretty cool and not very straight forward (except for Your Body....), which makes them more interesting. His CD isnt absolutely amazing or anything, but I'll give him credit.

i'd usually listen to OLP before matches, but most of the time afterwards i wouldn't want to feel left out so i would be social and talk to other people. i hated my partner. i hope i get a new one next year, because i was better than her and she would call me to get impossible shots or ones that should've been hers.

it hasn't rained in years
i bring to you this sacrificial offering of virgin ears
leave it to me i remain free from all the comforts of home
and where that is i'm pleased as piss to say
i'll never really know

Quick breakdown of John Mayer:
Voice - Crappy
Lyrics - Hit and Miss
Guitar - Average
Hype - OVERHYPED
But some of stuff speaks to me on a personal level and I think that is why he is connecting with fans. Why Georgia is my favorite of what I've heard so far.

That would be the wonderful, god-like, beautiful Jerry Horton. You may know him as the guitar player from Papa Roach. But don't get any ideas, i claimed him a long time ago. He's mine
