Buy '1 Love'. It's an album with 16 amazing covers by amazing bands like Muse, Jimmy Eat World, Stereophoniccs, Prodigy and lots more. With buy it, I mean buy it and don't download it. The proceeds of the album go to Warchild. To find out more about the album click here

The band "Ours" have an amazing cover of Bohemian Rhapsody (minus the crazy shenanigans that happens mid-way through the original song) that they actually recorded in studio and added it as a bonus track to the "Drowning" single.

also, OLP's rendition of Jeff Buckley's "Eternal Life" should be way up there on the list.

mudmen - home for a rest.

this isn't just me pimping the mudmen, as usual... every single person who's ever seen the mudmen live ALWAYS agrees that this is one of the best performances ever!

although there are lot's of tribute and cover songs out there these are a few of my favorites.

U2( Edge really) singing Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline on the POP tour as a karaoke type thing with the audience singing.

SEAL doing Hendrix's Hey Joe

Guns and Roses version of Iggy Pop's Raw Power

OLP- Eternal Flame, Imagine and Teardrop

but one of the funniest covers to me isn't really cover, but Weird AL's parody on songs. That cracks me up all the time

it's super good.

i dunno, i could be wrong...but that sounds an awful lot like the presidents...it sounds exactly like the version they recorded of it. but they kick ass, so its all good.

I love Ben Folds' cover of Golden Slumbers by the Beatles.
Also I like Ben Kweller's covers of My Drug Buddy by the Lemonheads and Ice Ice Baby.
Also the Get Up Kids have an awesome cover of Regret by New Order.

Clumsythief wrote:Hi guys, I'm just wondering what is your favorite cover song. Mine is definitely Nirvana "The Man Who Sold The World", a David Bowie cover. The guitars in that song is just amazing. Speaking of Nirvana, I really wanna OLP perform a Nirvana song. I dunno which song tho.

I dunno if Raines voice could do a Nirvana song justice. They are the opposite of each others...but that could be interesting.
