Poor Richard.

At the moment (in my reading), Richard's been broken by Denna, and is on his way to see Rahl.

Here's what I think will happen (eventually).

Richard will get out somehow (d'uh), get his memory back (somehow) and will become a Wizard, since he's already learned quite a lot about pain, he won't have to go through that part of the training to become a wizard.

Hell, I could be a wizard. I'm just that clever!

Okay, now's when someone else has to step in and tell me I'm wrong!

If you like Sword of Truth, I highly recommend The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. It's a nine book series (so far) similar to Sword of Truth. I'm on book 4 and I'm loving it.

Read them, they're some of the best fiction I've ever read, period, and for sure the best fantasy ever. I don't want to sell you on them too aggressively, though. :P

I haven't read Wheel of Time, but I hear it starts to suck when it becomes apparent that he's never going to end the series.

Thanks.

I loved when he busted the princesses head in. That was cool.

I really want to find out how he gets unbroken or whatever he has to do to get back to normal. Well, as normal as one can be after this...

Heh, I read that part last night. Don't worry about it.

For a while I figured that I'd just stop after the third book, but I can't possibly do that now. I mean, fuck. This is good. Damn good.

And something tells me that Zedd is Richard's father. Either that or it'll be some freaky scene with Rahl...

Rahl: Richard... *Distorted Breathing* I am your father.
Richard: meh.
Rahl: Oh. And one more thing. See that big guy over there? He raped you numerous times while you were young.
Richad: NOOOOOOO!

I didn't wait that long. I was reading other books at the time, and had to wait (one of those books was for school).

If I didn't spend so much time on here/gaming, I'd be reading all the time. I really want to find out what happens.

That's my problem. I just don't read enough. I read almost every day, but not for very long. I just don't have the time. :(

The correct answer was "Yes, Mistress Alex." That's 2 hours. :grr:

shhh don't wreck it for poor robbo!

you may be darken if you wish.

did anyone ever think of richard & kahlan as raine & chantal? If i were casting the movie for it i'd think of them.

Actually while I'm on the subject i think these books would make AWESOME movies. Much better than that lord of the rings stuff. My favourite past time whilst bored is to mentally cast all the characters in my head with real people

I emailed Terry Goodkind about that. He emailed me back about 3 months later. :freak: He said that he has some kind of contract that makes it so the books cannot be made into movies for 25 years afterhe dies. Simply because, he wrote the books so that you get an image so powerful in your mind, that it becomes your world. If you noticed, he never ever specifically said what Kahlan looked like. He just said she was the most beautiful woman in the world. He lets you fill in what the most beautiful woman looks like. By creating movies, and casting actors, people would be given exaclty what the characters, scenes, and sounds are like. Exactly what Terry doesn't want.

dude........... you EMAILED him?!?!

May I have this email as well????

And he describes what Kahlan looks like!! Tall, slender, early 20's, very long honey-brown hair, green eyes, gracefully arched eyebrows.

How much more do you want?

And Richard is tall, muscular, darkish hair, gray eyes. I dunno how much more descripting you can do without being nitpicky.
