yeah Reza. I was a bit shocked when I heard they were going to do it live. I think it was Duncan who told me at some show they were rehearshing it. It was suppose to be done in USA, but did not get put in till the Canadian tour that year..

best version of HOPE to me is the Big Ticket version where Mike just sort of wails on guitar and Raine adds a few lines into it.. That version really rocked..

As for the whole Mike/Raine thing. I do not think any of us will ever really know what went on. I have heard a few things here and there from people in the know. All I will say is Mike is Happy where he is in life now and wishes the band well and Raine is happy where he is in life now. We should just be happy that both are still putting out music that allows us fans to enjoy..:)

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

I saw on the hub that they did Hope with Try Honesty. Ohhh, I would've loved to see that.

I do not know about that.. Unless from a newer show( from last year). I know Raine was doing Try Honestly on his solo tour.

Hope has not really been done since early 1998.. They did do a few lines on the 2000 World's A Blister tour with Massive Attacks's Teardrop.. That was only done at a handful of shows though. The song was put back in the set on the 2006 Canadian Tour..

Shanae here is the Big Ticket performance with Mike Turner. Listen to the guitar part 3:50-5:50 Yeah Mike..

Raine and Jeremy are so young there.

And with our Boy Steve..

Oh wait. I just remembered they did do it in Montreal in Dec 2000 for the SM club tour. I remember turning to the girl next to me saying OMG I can not believe this is being done. That was the only show that was done in. Ask anyone who went to that show and they will tell you it was probably one of OLP's best. Sadly so it never surfaces on bootleg anywhere. They played almost 2-1/2 hours. 23 songs..

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

I think my favourite Steve solo is from In Repair from 2005 (In Regina):

2:07 into the song, roughly.

I love it. It was a great performance of the song in general.

Haha, I know this is an old thread but I believe Frank (last name?) has been doing the DJ radio thing for years...thinking back to the mid 80s, lol, that just made me laugh because you are so right!
