yeah, but it's hard to judge those statistics because it all has to do with per capita, population, income levels and cultural influxes.

In Regina's case, the aboriginal population is very high, especially for Saskatchewan's tiny overall population compared to other provinces and the majority of the crime rate statistics revolve around those areas/communities of the city.

Makes sense, I guess. I can't remember where I heard that... maybe it was on the radio. And Saskatoon was up there, too. Meh...

Hows the public transit system?

um. good. maybe.

i have no idea. i've never used it. but they do have some fancy new express thing to the university from a bunch of different places in the city.

the only major issue people talk about a lot is bus service on sundays and holidays. i think it's just limited on those days...but still runs.

there's a lot of students that solely depend on the bus, and they seem to do just fine with it.

I'm not keen on the whole idea of having to rely on a bus, but I may have to since I may not have my own wheels.

regina is small. and depending on where you live, you may not even need to use it a whole heck of a lot for groceries and that sort of thing. by the sounds of things, you'll need to get to the university...which is one of the good parts of our transit system. regina.ca has a transit system section. maybe that will give you more information, since i'm almost clueless about it.

Sounds good. I'm really excited about going to school there, though I have to weigh my options heavily right now.
