I think he's under the impression that he's not well liked, because if i'm not mistaken, it was he who was banned from the hub and was possibly the one who was selling OLP bootlegs or material on ebay or something similar to that...

although, in my old age, I could just be mistaken.

And all of you are probably going to shake your head in an, "Oh dear, oh dear..." way. But you know. I must ask.

I have Jer on Facebook [when I found out that regular fans added him] and he's on the chat. Of course, I've never had any close calls with any of my musical heroes, and I'm so tempted to talk to him, but I'd feel really stupid, and like some sort of ditzy fan-girl. Since you folks are the people I would come frolicking along to for this kind of thing, I did do just that. Do you think it'd be too... silly to talk to him one day? I wouldn't be entirely stupid and ask him what he cooked his wifey for dinner or anything, but just general music questions (and how the HELL I can play my drums!).

So. If I ever get another opportunity, do you think he'd mind?

Sorry I'm "freaking out" over this, but I can't help it. I get excited by this kind of thing.

And you can be totally harsh with your answers.

Thanks, y'all!

OK, for a serious answer to your question... you might as well give it a shot. He's a nice guy, and I can't imagine TOO many fans bothering him lately considering they haven't really done much in the public eye for so long. And if he doesn't feel like chatting with a random fan, he'll probably just not answer. No harm, no foul.

BTW, your excitement is adorable. :)

Heh heh, shush. *Shifty eyes.* [I should really stay away from the Internet while hyper from now on...]

I don't want to feel like a bother, but y'know, one day I will pop in a little, "Hey" or something. Or a, "What the hell, man, why are you on facebook and not releasing records?" Ehhh.

If you talked to him I'd just avoid the whole OMG I LOVE YOUR MUSIC!!!!!! Type of conversation, how many times have they heard that? I mean they get it, you're probably not going to add them to facebook to tell them you're NOT a fan.

I would avoid that anyways, but thank you. Haha, I think, for some musicians, it's nice to hear from people that don't like your music. Just a nice change of scenery.

That would be Steve. He has been on line the last few days.

For whatever reason, I always get this one scene in my head. There's a musician of a well-known band on a bus or in a record store, and the musician's band's song comes on the radio. Tries to play it cool, while two girls beside him unknowingly swoon over the music, and say general things like, "Oh, what WOULDN'T I do to that lead singer if I got ahold of him."

I'm just saying, the wording sounds like one of those stalker-ish scenes like they imitated on the Tenacious D HBO specials from back in the day!

Sometimes you really do not know who someone is. Years ago my friend and I were talking to this guy at a concert. Just talking to him. A few girls came up to him and asked for aphoto and autograph. We just looked one. He told us he was the bass player of the band ASH -who just so happen to be playing that same show.. Even funnier is they opened a few OLP shows a few years later.

I also was talking with this guy in a hotel lobby when people came over and approached him. I said I am sorry I do not know who you are, but I assume you must be on General Hospital. It was during the Emmys.. I was waiting for my friend who worked in the hotel. Turned out tobe one of the actors from teh show..

Not everyone is aware of everyone.. I could not tell you who some of the biggest people in the world are..

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

That'd be so neat to run into people like that. I've actually heard members of the Fray say (it must've been on Much...?) that they literally stand next to people talking about their band and they don't have any idea that the band members are standing right next to them.

That must've been where I got my 'scene' from...

Oh I dunno, I'm pretty sure I'd be aware of these people if I were in the same room as them!
