He played it at Massey in February during Chantal's concert. Did a whole set. It was really awesome.

Really sounds different than the stuff off his EP.
Sounds more like it should either be sung by a woman and be softer or on the oppsite side of the sprectrum more of a harder rap/hip-hop version.
Does really grab me like his other stuff.

The only problem I have is the sound.. A little static for me. .I really like the song. Catchy to me..
He wanted to play Toronto. I think mid- Oct is when they were shooting for. This is not confrimed yet.. I think within the next two weeks the shows he is doing will be announced..

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

I need to go to this site more often! I can't believe I hadn't heard this song yet!
That said...while I dig the rap part, the chorus makes me cringe. Especially the "wise up, wise up" part.
That part is too radio friendly - it sounds a bit juvenile. I forget how this sounded when I saw Raine at the Chantal concert back in February but I'm hoping the sound has changed a bit since then.

And if I don't make it known that
I've loved you all along
Just like sunny days that
We ignore because
We're all dumb and jaded
And I hope to God I figure out
What's wrong

Cool. If you or someone else in the Toronto area can record the FM broadcast to an audio tape that'd be great! I'm sure someone will rip the online stream, but the quality of that is never as good as the actual radio broadcast.

alright...so the interview is over...here is the meat and potatoes of it:
bookie just asked him about his music and his inspiration and that kinda stuff...then they played "yellow brick road" and "the less i know"
both are really good songs in my opinion

Really didn't have too much to say just wanted to get word out about his Solo album 'Hunter Lullabye' comming out Nov. 12
He talked a bit about the making of the records and said that the lyrical beat / slant poetry style was refreshing to record.
He mentioned that with this style he would come up with beats and rythms first then put words to it instead of the opposite with the rock song writing/recording. Also much less vocal tracking for this record.
Bookie (Edge DJ) touch on the activism side of things. Raine mentioned that he was more of a "Monday Morning Activist" and that there are some individuals out there that live and breathe this stuff everyday of their lives.
As for OLP Raine mentioned that it's still all happening. They've been getting together once in awhile to write but keeping it casual and low key.
