yeah when my girlfriend and I were in Boston she kept on saying to me after the venue that we apparently stood out. And she said "OLP obviously knew we were Canadians" and "everyone else had to know too since we were singing the songs to the top of out lungs"

I was like "ok..."

but come to think of it more and more I tend to believe that she is right. I do believe that we did stand out that night at the roxy

If singing at the top of your lungs is what proves your Canadian at an OLP show... then I'm Canadian, too. :P

It wa near the mousehead beer factory there.. I think that was rthe beer name on the side..

I took. VIA to Moncton, then bus to St John. It was such a beautiu=ful train ride thorugh NS.. Loved it.

Setlist should be sent off to R&S at olp.cc. It's the same setlist as Atlanta, minus the Life with Naveed.

Quick review...

1) Pedestrian (Well, Joel). This guy is amazing. He basically came out and was a one man band. The 3rd song he played he asked the crowd if we wanted acousic or electric. Acousic won and he played another song from it. I'm not familiar with his CD all that much yet, but I know he played a song called Oxygen that was amazing. He left the mic and sang the 2nd verse to the front row, and said 'That's for the front row for showing up so early'. Last song he was joined by Jer and Duncan who completely rocked out and gave each other a big hug when they left. You can tell how much they respect each other. Was great to see.

2) Augustina. I never knew what they looked like, so I thought it was just a bunch of rhodies setting up for them. Turns out it was the band. Heh, oops. Anyway, they were awesome. Kinda cookie cutter for my liking though, they gave me the 'Maroon 5 vibe, and the like'. The lead singer has an amazing voice and a great keyboard player. During one of their songs you could see how much he was into it. Great to see. Sure beats the reviews I've been reading about that nutso danko guy...

3) Our Lady Peace. I've been listening to lots of recordings from the hub (Minus one song because I didn't want to spoil the new intro). While the recordings were awesome, they sure can't compare to the vibe of being there. I pretty much lost my voice by the second song. Haha. It was amazing. Seeing every note Steve was hitting and hearing how awesome it was it was like he was on his own (Half of the time I forgot Joel was there, but he rocked while Steve played keys). After they left the stage for the first time, Jer threw his drumsticks out and Steve threw a few of his picks. One didn't go very far so he threw two more out. He then walked up to center and shook my hand and said 'Thanks' and gave me one directly. I think he must have known where the Steve chants were coming from

Raine was amazing. He was genuinely happy with the crowd support especially singing the songs back to him. During Naveed I think it was a girl threw her bra on stage. Raine picked it up and said 'Man, this thing is huge....It's Enormous!'. We all laughed when he put it on Duncan's mic and shot a laugh at him. They both sang from the mic for a second then Duncan threw it at Jer (Or he might have just thrown it out of the way, hard to say - I'd like to think the first since I noticed Jer kicking a drumstick at his feet earlier on in the show....haha).

Really words can't describe how much this show kicked ass. The Hard Rock Live is an awesome sounding venue. There was absolutely nothing wrong whatsoever, minus the fact they were ejecting people that were taking pictures with camera phones and digitals...I thought that was dumb, so I never felt brave enough to take mine out being front row center. But I did get up to the ticketing window and they gave me the only copy they had of the 'Now Playing' marquee. I'll take a few pictures of it and share it as well. It was super awesome of them to hang on to it for me.

I'm leaving so much out of this, since I did say it was going to be a quick review. I'll post a longer, detailed review for R&S.
