The band has been against that sort of behavior, and there's nothing fun or funny about someone getting drunk -ever hear of alcoholism? It's not funny, I have lost close friends to that shit, and almost lost myself. Alcohol is fine until you start using it just for getting drunk, then it's the same as any other drug, that's the reality of the situation.
Not to get all serious but if you lose people you care about to that shit, you would see it differently as well. I got sucked up into it, thinking it was fun, but dude when you start putting an sort of substance in your body to have fun, it's treading on thin ice. So many people have gotten fucked up doing that, including myself.
I know some people that hang out with Jer and he really isn't into alcohol, even now. It's just an occasional thing.
Myself and many others hung out with Jeremy a few weeks ago in Toronto (Mod Club VIP Party - August 29th, 2005) and he was in fact drunk. Many people on this board, over the last few years, have hung out and even drank with Jeremy. Also, he couldn’t make to the Edge one morning because he was too hung over from drinking the night before.
Alcoholism is definitely not a joking matter but people do drink, some people can handle themselves and some can’t. The fact is that Jeremy likes to drink and does get drunk.
