I was thinking this on Friday, or was it thursday.. when did it come out? Anyway, I was sitting next to an older gentleman who was reading it on the TTC (local subway) and I thought "I wonder how many people are reading this book, RIGHT NOW" 500 000? I just knew it was alot. Anyone else thought that? Any guesses?

So what's the final verdict people, is it better than all its predecessors and how is it different from the other books?

that is something pretty cool to think about. One persons writings and all these people, young and old, reading it. This really is something amazing reading bringing people together.

I read an interview with J.K Rowling and she wishes the movies were never released and that there was never a single piece of merchandise. I mean I guess money can make you change your mind but at least she had good intentions.

I think these books would just be the more amazing if that hadnt happened. it kinda cheapens them in a way. :(

That's just like Dr. Seuss, who didn't want his books turned into movies, but his family disobeyed once he died.

That's how JD Salinger is... He will never release "Catcher in the Rye" as a movie. Thank God. I love the book so much, I don't want to see a movie. No actor could portray Holden the way he should be.
