Samuel reminded me more of Gollum than Gratch. Gratch is more lovable.

Well...

The Raven has given the book to Richard. 'Twould appear that Zedd is embodied in it. It hasn't been said directly yet, but he just poked Serin Rijak's eye out, then hopped on Spider and rode away.

Now that I know/think that Zedd's not completely dead yet, I feel a little better. I just hope that he gets back to his wizardly form soon.

Oh yeah, Fitch just got half of his head ripped off by a mase. Mmm, justice. Now those Ander/Order bastards have the sword. I can't wait for the inevitable; when Richard gets it back and kicks some ass.

Yay, finished SotF! I absolutely LOVED the ending

Black text:
The sword falling out of the blanket was great. Right before that happened, I was thinking "Great, now he'll have to go searching for the sword in the next book". Then it fell out. I like how it showed a whole new side of Dalton.

I suppose that now Richard will be trying to take care of Kahlan, find a place to live in peace, and will probably run into trouble with the order.

I just started reading FotF. I love the intense description from Kahlan's view of things.

yes, that makes sense too.
i looked at gollum (before the betrayal to frodo ) as this defenceless being in need of some form of companionship. that's the similarity between the two i was getting at.
i see your point with samuel though, what with him being ex-seeker and wanting the sword and all.

alex, have you finished all sword of truth novels up to pillars of creation?

I'm not sure if PoC is even a SoT novel... It doesn't have "A Sword of Truth Novel" on the cover, like my other ones.

Plus, there's Debt of Bones. It's a short novel about Zedd from before the rest of the series.

whoa. *checks her copy of blood of the fold*
hmm. it says pillars of creation on the list of books, but maybe i interpreted it wrong. i noticed the day i was at coles buying books that it had a significantly bigger font, and was shorter, so i was kind of suspicious.

debt of bones, eh? i haven't seen that one at the book store, i'll have to check it out next time i go. :)

Yeah, I'm a little fuzzy on PoC, because I haven't read it yet. We'll have to wait for Alex to get on...

Here's the cover of Debt of Bones, for when you look for it:

I just now read a little review of PoC.

It's not centered on Richard and Kahlan...

Here's a link to the review: http://www.terrygoodkind.com/sotinfo/reviews/poc.html (there are a lot of spelling errors in that. "So, if you would like a god book, read Pillars of Creation."

Lora: yes, i've read them all with the exception of DoB which i haven't managed to get my hands on yet (for a reasonable price that is)

Rob: FAITH OF THE FALLEN!!!!!! :D

Good fucking god, the biting political commentary that underlines that whole book will blow your weak, unprepared mind. Especially the second-halfish part where... fuck... ok, spoiler: Nicci drags Richard back to the Old World. That whole part has to be probably Goodkind's most marvelous literary creation to date. ohhhh hurry up and read it!! I want your thoughts! :D :D :D

My list of books to read:

-FotF
-PoC
-DoB
-When Rabbit Howls (by Truddi Chase, a woman with MPD, and 92 different personalities, which all show up in the writing. It's supposed to be very creepy). Click for Chapter's review thingy.

This thread's getting too far down the list...

Black text spoilish thingy:

Nicci just did that maternal thing to Kahlan, and Kahlan has just given Richard the necklace.

Uhh... Yeah. That is all. :)

NO! Don't read Brave New World. It is really really not worth it. It's a piece of trash that got over-analized by people, so now they think it's great.

Besides, there's a good chance that you'll have to read it for school. :iamaloser:
