I really like the art on the disc.

The back cover made me chuckle. Everyone's just staring at Steve, while he's saying "Fuck yeah, I own this bitch."

LOL!

To be honest, i am upset that time bomb is WFSTH. I never liked it to be honest. But TRS turned out better in studio.

Ditto. WFSTH is a boring filler song, really. In the chorus I really am "waiting for something good to happen"... lol

Anyway I've been listening religiously to the CD for a while now and I've come to feel a bit of dislike for Dreamland and The End Is Where We Begin (the latter being too slowed down), but I am absolutely in love with Escape Artist, Paper Moon and Monkey Brains.

In terms of when I finally list Burn Burn among the other albums, I think the generic poppy songs like AYD, Dreamland (the intro is cheesy, it gets better as it goes though), TEIWWB and Never Get Over You (though this one is still good IMO) will drag Burn Burn down my list, despite the other amazing songs. Refuge, White Flags and Signs of Life are on the fence for me right now.

Judging from the preview, I'd rather The Right Stuff have been on the album than a few particular songs, especially AYD. At least it was a metaphorical song and wasn't an oozing-with-cheese love ballad... I heard somewhere (probably here) that TRS was actually about God.

I actually heard that on youtube and it makes sense too. I really wanna see what Song 7 and What Kind Of Life are though.

We never will. As much as we want it, OLP will never release b-sides.

Riley, were you not here when Trusty talked about it? I think it's increasingly possible.

I doubt we'll get anything from before Gravity though, because of the pressure for Raine to play them live. And there might be some tie-ups with Sony, but I don't know. I'm keeping up hope.

Duncan's responce was the best though:

"Why would we do that? I already have all those songs."

I was the one who suggested the b-sides!

Trustworthy might think it's possible, but he has no real pull, I would think.

Anyways, off to LA, flight leaves in an hour!

I love how everyone says B-sides. When in fact they were unreleased tracks.

I am so loving this cd.. Can not wait to see them do the songs live in person..

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

Same here! I hope they break out a new one for the NYC show. What are some early favorites for you?

The End Is Where We Begin( or as I call it With or without you on the street with no name-the lost Joshua Tree Track   ), Refuge, Escape Artist, Paper Moon and believe it or not I like Sign Of Life//

Even Monkey Brains is starting to grow a little on me. Never really liked the song. Still don't really, but the bass ( yeah Duncan) gets me all the time

All You Did...Not really a fan of this track, but I understand why it's on the album. It's a decent single...catchy. I really wish OLP would branch out and be more experimental though. They've got enough fame and success at this point to try new things without radio filler...

Dream Land.....Great track...I like the sentiment in the lyrics...Another good single choice...

Monkey Brains.....The song that most resembles the OLP of the 90's and early 00's....It's a fun song. Not one of my favorites from the disc though.

The End is Where We Begin...A much needed upbeat song...Really like it.

Never Get Over You.....This is one of the better songs on the album...Lyrics are solid, and the guitar work is fantastic.

Escape Artist......Might be my favorite song so far. Sounds a little like something off Healthy in Paranoid Times....

Refuge...Another solid song....More mature/evolved sound.

Signs of Life....Haven't been able to get into this one yet...

White Flags....Another fun/upbeat song...Would make a good single.

Paper Moon.....Guitar work is great......Need more extended solos like this...

Overall this is a really solid album.....I think it takes the more mature direction of Healthy and expands upon it....And the production is much improved and "live" sounding......Not really a fan of All You Did or Signs of Life though.

:wtf:

While I love Our Time Is Fading, I'd love even more to get something like Sleeping In, Vampires, or Trapeze.

Trapeze was played somewhere between 10 and 20 times during the Clumsy tour.

Here's the only copy of Sleeping In we have:
