And if it is a blow against god because we are changing the overall purpose and taking a unborn life. Then is it not the same thing when the bible belt executes hundreds of inmates? Is that not defying God's will?

yes. it is defying God's will. and it is the same thing.... or at least close.

if anything, abortion is worse because the life you're taking couldn't be anymore innocent.

Who were you referring to?

If that was to me...yeah, I didn't mean about abnormalities in the development of the kid, I meant the results in the kid being born. If the baby is to be given up for adoption, we wouldn't know any specific consequences beforehand.
And if I don't make it known that
I've loved you all along
Just like sunny days that
We ignore because
We're all dumb and jaded
And I hope to God I figure out
What's wrong

you and taylor keep getting interchanged and I forget who I'm talking to. That was more towards taylor I THINK.

Results when the kid is born? You don't need a machine to know when you're born into an impoverished household. Adoption is a good way to prevent this, but how easy is it to be pregnant and live in the projects, go to school, and or work one or more jobs? Not very. I think you'd understand that bearing a child is never easy, and struggling to meet critical needs to live while being pregnant can't be easier.

But the parent/s couldn't. Yes they could give their kids up for adoption, but when you live in the projects, go to school, and/or have at least one job as your only source of income, it is extemely difficult to carry on pregnancy. And if you spend nine months of agony producing a child you will never raise, why bother carrying on?

It's not like the abortion is a complete waste either. With stem cells, we can help maintain the health of people with lives in full bloom. People who have suffered all their lives with incurable brain and heart diseases suddenly have a potential cure. If people have an option to abortion, we can productively use that one abortion to save more than one person.

Do they really use stem cells from aborted fetuses? I thought they only used cells from embryos.

I have a question!

I'm a Canadian citizen and I turned 18 in March, but both my parents got their voter registration cards and the mail and I haven't recieved anything. Is a delay to be expected or should I phone in and ask them what the hell's going on?

Voting for the NDP isn't voting for the party that's left.....it's voting for the party that's right.

Hell, you can technically get stem cells from adults! They're just no where near as effective.

In regards to stem cells, I'm sort of smushing embryoes and fetuses into one huge category. An Embryo is the best place to get a stem cell.

Well, apparently around here they registered through the schools, but I ended early so I seem to have missed that. I called elections canada today and explained the situation and they guy said to just go with my parents when they vote and register right there and then, and then vote.

So, I would say, just take a piece of photo ID with you and go!

Two things.

First, I feel inclined to vote NDP but I'm terrified that if people split their votes between the Liberals and the New Dems then we're going to unwittingly let in the Conservatives. And, well, yikes. Is this a valid concern? Does that matter even though both the ridings in my city are probably destined to Conservatism anyway?

Second, what about the Green Party? For the first time in my life, I find I actually LIKE what a party is standing for... and for the uninformed, they are not only an international party but are the only party besides the Liberals that are running in every single riding. So don't just fluff them off. They're were the NDP were roughly 10 years ago.

So I've decided I'm going to vote liberal. I feel like they have the besty chance of keeping the conservatives out. My heart wants to go with the NDP but in reality they have no chance yet of being a serioous contender. Give them 1 or 2 more elections and they could be a contender, but not yet.
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

the problem is lots of people agree with the NDP, but we all believe they're not a big enough contender so we don't vote for them, but they never can become a big contender unless people vote for them. So they're stuck in a dead spot of mostly the same people voting for them.

Also having to split their votes with the green party this year is even worse for them

i really badly want to vote for either ndp or the green party but everyone keeps telling me that it's just a wasted vote. also there's a VERY good chance that the conservatives can win this and they pretty much go against everything i believe in. So the only logical vote is for liberal. So i might end up voting for liberal but honestly if the green party had any chance at all that's where my vote would be.
