I don't drink or smoke, but I am not going to go around and tell people they can't do the same, or look down on them. Fuck, it's their lives, and as long as they don't kill themselves when I am around, let them do what they will. It's not like if I put a couple black X's on my hands will change anything. It's just the fashionable thing to do now.

I'm straight edge because I have absolutely NO desire to drink or smoke or anything like that. But I DEFINITLY don't run around preaching about it like most sXe kids do. I know my friend posted a message in her boyfriend's guestbook and she mad a comment about being the 420th poster (as a joke; she doesn't really smoke) and his sXe friends bitched at her AND him. That's fucking bumtarded..

The reason I call myself "straight edge" is because it's easier than telling people I don't drink or smoke or do drugs or whatnot. AND, as an added bonus, if you say that you're straight edge, people are less likely to bug you to try crap. I don't do any of those things because I don't have any desire to, nor do I need to to have a good time. And, yes, I'm of legal age to drink/smoke. BUT, I don't go around telling people they're wrong to drink or whatever, and I certainly don't draw stupid Xs all over myself.

Did you even read a thing I wrote? "Straight edge", to many of us who are that way, is just a term. Nothing more. It's an easy way to say "I don't do drugs, drink, smoke, etc".
