I don't think I knew what music was when I was 8.

I listened to Billy Joel when I was 6. I was crazy over "We Didn't Start The Fire" and I think it has a better Jack Keroack reference than All For You has. Anyway, Billy is fucking talented and I might be going to Buffalo to see him play a show with Lauren.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

Don't make any sense? haha....don't get me started. We actually had to go through the song line by line in 9th grade history and identify what each line meant and wound up having a test on it...
All the lines in that song have an actual meaning....just a matter of knowing what.

Hell I don't care if there are teeny bopper fans either, if they think Raine is hot, Okay that's great for them, but if Raine is the only member they know and they think he's the whole band and can't name 5 fuckin OLP songs then they can go lick an ass because they are a bunch of posers who have no taste in music and can't figure out what 3 + 3 is. So what, I can't either, but at least I'm not drooling over the only member of OLP.... wait a sec... THERE ARE MORE MEMBERS!?!?!?!?!?!

How come I thought Raine was the only one on stage at the concerts?

WHOA this must be some kind of breakthrough!!! I better go post this in THE HOTW at the CC and the NEWS forum here!!!!!

Yeah right... Those aren't fans... They buy albums to look at the picture of the lead singer on the cover... Not to listen to the lyrics or the music... Just to pleasure themselves while doing it... It's called "Self Indulgence"

fuckin' sick teeny boppers...

holy cow. we had to do the same project in world studies. and we had to make up our own lines to the song that had to do with our lifetime. i understand how all the things he mentions have to do with his life, but the way he puts bad things in with good people and events and then says he tried to fight it doesnt make any sense.

primetimefool wrote:who gives a flying fuck about the fans, teeny or otherwise? why the hell does this matter to so many people? if you like the music, like it, and don't worry about what the hell anybody else thinks about it.

if somebody wants to listen to OLP just because raine's hot, that's their perogative. why the fuck should that matter to you?

not to get sucked into this ocnversation again, but just to help you undrstand where some people, including mysefl, are coming from. nobody cares WHO likes them...it's just WHAT happens to bands afterthey become the next "trendy" thing. hey get over-exposed and played out. by the time the "next new thing" comes out, the band has already become something they're not. thus alienating the original fas. so then the band isnt trendy anymore so they lostthose fans AND the original fans are gone becuase they weren't into the music that was being produced during the trendy period. hope this helps you understand. i dont want that happening to OLP.
