Fastball have a "Best Of..." CD coming out. Is that going to be a single of "The Way" with a b-side of "Fire Escape"? I like Fastball, but a "Best Of..." collection? Come on now....must be record company problems.

from the Austin American-Statesman:

Fastball is winding up for its first show in more than a year — without founding guitarist Miles Zuniga, who, perhaps weary of baseball puns, has quit the band to pursue the life of a Nashville songwriter. "We're basically going to start over," says Fastball bassist Tony Scalzo, who hopes the new Miles-less version, featuring Brad Fernquist (ex-New Radicals) on guitar, will start gigging again in a few weeks. Although Fastball is shopping for a label, the Young Heart Attack, a side project for Scalzo and Fastball drummer Joey Shuffield, has been signed to England's hip XL Records and will start recording its debut at the Bubble in August. Zuniga, meanwhile, has got a cut on the next Phil Vassar record, which comes out Aug. 20, the same day as a "Best of Fastball" compilation (better name: " 'The Way' and 11 Other Songs") on Hollywood, which dropped them late last year

That's awesome, and by the way are the Rolling Stones any good? 8-)
Bart … "So, to win Gretta back I have to go to Toronto."

Homer ... "Canada? Why should we have to leave America to visit America Junior?"
