I'll take a psychology class when I'm a senior.

The hard thing though...is that I'd have to anaylze every little thing... And some things are really cut and dry and don't need to be analyzed.

I agree with that! That's why I hate my english teacher. She analyzes everything too much.

I mean, look at Lord of the Flies. I think it was just a shitty book that got over analyzed, and now it looks all symbolic. The story itself sucks...

Hey, I wanna read it.

Mainly because there's a Japanese movie called Battle Royale with a similar storyline: A class of 9th graders are put on a deserted island with weapons, food, water, and a compass. Their mission? To kill each other until only one person remains. They have 3 days to fight it out, and if there's more than 1 person remaining at the end, they all blow up. Why do they have to do it? After an economic crash in Japan, the adults decide they need a new way to keep kids in check, so they create a twisted game.

Woah. That's fucked up.

The Lord of the Flies is a lot different. The kids get stranded on an island, and have to try to survive until they get rescued. They end up turning into a mirror of society, split into two groups, go at war with eachother, and then, right before the main character is about to get caught and killed, a random sailor shows up and rescues them.

It sucks.
