When I play it on the computer it sounds all scratchy and stuff,and no it's not my speakers.

Try altering the equalizer on your program. And turn down the volume.

if there is copy-protection, take a felt-tipped mark and draw a circle on the outer most track of the CD. I learn a lot living in the gamers hall.

u mean draw a circle right onto the outer most track? or just, like beside it?

Do you have the bass turned up? On my discman, I had the bass turned up when I first got the cd and it sounded really wierd...when I turned it down it was fine. Is it just playing like that in your computer? If not, maybe there's something wrong with the disc.
