Zoo Station (U2) cover?

Post by kyle »

Just browsing olp.net's main page, they have a poll of OLP covers / rare live songs. One of the options is U2's Zoo Station!

Woah! I feel really dumb for missing this. My OLP stock is dropping.

When did this happen? Has this happened more than once? Damn, Zoo Station is such a great song. "Time is a train, makes the future the past. Leaves you standing in the station, your face pressed against the glass."

I've heard about them doing Grace before, I don't remember who told me, though. I didn't know they've done Zoo Station or Monkey Gone To Heaven, though.

That would be awful if they toured together, I'd be so excited about it my head would explode!! :D

And with an exploded head, I couldn't see/hear the show. That would suck.

I don't think that will ever happen. i was talking with Duncan in Cleveland and the topic of U2 came up. he said they will never tour with U2. I said never say never, YOu never know. I think because we were talkinga bout Bono and I said I was tempted last year to Bono a copy of your Cd and tell him to get you guys play. Duncan told me they know who OLP are. They had the same management team or something like that as U2 and left on somewhat bad terms.

Still that would be cool.Hell forget a tour. I do almost anything(as long as it wasn't illegal) to have Raine and Bono do a duet. That would be
S W E E T   ] Now that would be something.

If U2 and OLP went on tour together, I would walk out after OLP's set. No doubt about it.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

in all seriousness if OLP and U2 toured only U2 and OLP fans would stay for the whole show. Most U2 fans aren't into OLP or heard of them and would show up after the opening band came on. Except for the PIT, the arena didn't fill up till after the openers last U2 tour.
