I like walking across the overpass and watching all the little cars on the interstate below, because it's so interesting to think about where they're going that they're in such a hurry to get to. It's a metaphor for life, really, we're all on this freeway speeding to get somewhere we probably don't want to be and aren't sure where it is, and we never really stop and look out the windows at what's really going on. So I like to stand on the overpass and kind of laugh at all the little people and hope that one day, they'll get the picture.

And also, I like to spit on them.

when i was in high school i used to skip all the time...with parental permission of course. my mom and i would actually plan out days ahead of time so we could have mother/daughter shopping days(she drives me to the mega mall, an hour away, i pick out tons of stuff, and she puts it on the credit card)...ahh...beautiful bonding...anyways...all my teachers knew i did it but they loved me so they would tattle..

thats whats so great about college. you can never go to class and they wouldnt do a damn thing except put an F on your report card. Im pissed b/c this year almost all of my classes take attendecnce. In my one English class the professor calls out attendance and there is over 100 kids in the class. It wastes about 15 minutes every class

the thing about skipping out on college... it's not as much fun as skipping high school, because you're actually paying for those classes. it can be fun, I guess, as long as your parents are shelling out the cash, but if you were paying for it yourself I'll bet you wouldn't miss a single class. man, I had to learn that lesson the hard way. when my parents were paying for college I partied like crazy. then when I went back to school and had to pay for it myself I actually sat down and figured out exactly how much each course was costing me per class. you bet your asses I was there at every single one.

^ yep...that's EXACTLY how it is. That's why I believe that parents should NEVER pay for all of their children's college tuition. They need to learn responsibility.

My mom paid for my college when I was a little kid by putting it into this Michigan University trust fund thing. All I have to do is pay room and board, but it makes me think about money. I have to shell out 7,000 out of my own pocket this year. I try to ask for as little money as possible from my mother, so I always have to think about how much things cost and if I can afford them. People complain that they're in a class for 10 hrs and get four credits, but I see it as saving money...you're paying for 4 hrs and get 10.

God, College is expensive. grr.

NO you don't, hun. :| Sure, the freedom aspect of college is great, but the work aspect sucks.

Enjoy the simplicity of high school, you'll miss it in a few years.

Simplicity.... There's a word I miss. I have 12% in Gr 11 University Preparation English, and 27% in University/College Preparation Mathematics. 100% in Peer Helping and Guitar though. Kinda weird....

Edit: it's not because I'm stupid though. I just fell asleep while reading Frankenstein and that accounts for the English mark. It's the only thing we've had marked. Same with math. A good mark on Monday's test should bring it waaaayyyyyyy up.

whoohoo...i'm home for the weekend to visit family for my birthday. as much as i love college and getting away from my family, and all the restrictions, college is too damn dramatic. sometimes people drive me insane, so i'm taking this weekend as a mini-vacation. oh yeah, i'm not going to be on the CM much this weekend cause a.) my home computer sucks and b.) i need to keep the phone line open cause my dad's on call so try not to miss me too much.

areyousad aka rob, i came home and the first thing i did was drop my stuff and run around like, "where's my stickers". THEY'RE AWESOME!!!!! Thanks sooooo much. I especially like the little note, "OLP Stickers 4 You!". Very nice, and our handwriting is scarily similiar. I don't even know what I'm going to do with my stickers...I think I'm just gonna go nuts. i want to put one on my car, but I don't want to waste it...arrghh. One is DEFINITELY going on my wall when I get back to college. So yeah, once again thank you sooooo much. I'm forever in debt to you.

Just because I am sexy, naked, a bassist, and sporting a top hat doesn't make me Duncan Coutts!
