GUITARS

Post by Blindman-Ted »

I'm curious to know what guitars the guitarists on this board have.

right now i play on a generic PROFILE, and a recently aquired a cheep ANJO from a friend which i plan on customizing by either painting it on my own or doing a Paul Stanley type smashed mirror look which would be quite impossible to do, but would be fun to try

I'm also lookin to buy a les paul or les paul copy because i like the look and sound of them and i'm a big Ace Frehley fan.

So what Guitars or Basses do you have?

I have an Ibanez S series (or something like that). It's blue, and it sucks. I'm saving up for a new guitar. Some day I'll have enough. Some day...

Say what costs? A guitar?

Well, mine's a semi-good quality, but a little on the cheap side. I think it was $300+. If you want a really good guitar, such as a Gibson Les Paul, or another extremely good quality guitar, you'd be looking at upwards of $2000. Sometimes much, much more.

However, if you're a beginer, go to your local music store and buy the cheapest piece of crap they've got. When you're learning, a guitar's a guitar. Quality only matters once you've mastered the skill of playing (or once you've decided that you definately want to keep playing). Remember, a guitar is only as good as it's player.

I have a 40th anniversery Fender Stratocaster. It's a beauty, and was only 500$. It sounds great too. I want an Epiphone now though. I played one somewhere and it sounded so nice....

My Fender Strat was my first guitar (unless you count my dad's guitar I sort of started on... that was a piece of crap from the 80's) but only because it was a good price. I would have settled for a 100$ one from the local crap store.

Strats are nice, don't get Squiers. They are pieces of horse turds.

Do you know that in Sweeden, bands get government funding because all music, no matter what kind, is a cultural thing? That is so awesome... any funding would be awesome.

Oopsie, typo.

Note to everyone on this board: Do not think anything I spell right is right, because it probably isn't. I'm a horrible speller.

*messes himself*

Good thing I was wearing the same thing as the last time you showed me that. Didn't mess anything new. Just doubled the cleaning job.

I have a Hamer Stellar 3 ($600), a strat clone Hamer ($250), and and Epiphone electric acoustic ($500). Gibsons are good, but not nearly worth $2,000 plus.
