I got in line at the Wester Fair grounds at about 2 pm, lucky enough to be second in line. When we were finally allowed into the concert are at about 6:15, there were about 75 or so people there and we got front row (a bit to the left) easily
The opening band was a local band called "Flashlight Brown", who gave a pretty good punk-rock act and were funny as hell, even though the crowd did
nothing for them. Lead singer: "Okay, so everyone who's recording this concert to put on the net later raise your hand! *crowd does nothing* Hehe, yeah we've got two tape recorders hidden back here to record matt good's set and put in on the net when it's all done. Gotta make a profit somehow hehe." I was half expecting Matt to come out and kick him or something.
Bif came on about a half hour after they left, and were pretty damn good. I'm not exactly a fan of Bif but I'm gonna check out their stuff now that I've heard it. The bassist was absolutely hilarious, he was dressed head to toe in black and was riverdancing or something while he played.
But finally MG took the stage and kicked things off with Generation X-Wing, which kicked ass as an opener. I didn't really know what to expect from him live, but he was just plain fun to watch: he was spastic and funny as hell

. Load Me Up was good, a little slower than usual and not really mind blowing, but still good; same goes for Under the Influence. The Future is X-Rated was reeeaaally different, done really slowly and Matt's vocals being more melodic than ever, I loved it. Then came the big'un: Advertising on Police Cars. This is my favourite MG song and it's the best song I've ever heard live; done almost totally faithful to the album version, but done better even. LBtMSD was great after AoPC, but at that point things were getting reeeeaaaal slow, so we needed a change of pace. Fortunately we got it with Everything is Automatic followed by Tripoli. EIA kicked ass, and the crowd really got into it, but Tripoli was absolutely mind blowing, especially since not as many people knew the lyrics so we didn't have some 5000 fans screaming the lyrics I'd much rather Matt sang

. Can't remember much of Four Minute Mile unfortunately, other than that I thought it sounded like The Inescapable Us. Hello Time Bomb was incredible, especially when they messed around with the sound to take it from a pretty faithful rendition to an almost brand new tune (note: to all hardcore MG fans, yes I do crack myself up). I didn't expect Apparitions to be played at all but damn was I happy when they did, it was a dead on performance and that's nothing to complain about. I recognized Weapon from the lyrics, though I had never heard it before, and it totally blew me away. If he makes music like that by himself then we don't need no stinkin' Genn

The encore was short and sweet, and more of a comedy act lol... Giant sounded a little off but it was still good, but in the outro Matt decided to lie down and take a little nap while the crowd worked itself into an absolute frenzy

It was hilarious, by the end Matt couldn't even keep a straight face while he pretended to sleep and finally finished things off with a rocking version of Symbolistic White Walls. The setlist above is a little innacurate, because at one point a bit after AoPC Matt did a solo performance of Strange Days that was incredible, even though he kept rolling his eyes at the crowd because he wanted us to take over singing it (a la 4AM for OLP) but no one seemed to be able to remember the lyrics
All in all I've gotta say that MG sounds infinitely better live than on cd, which is saying a lot. At one point he even climbed almost into the crowd while grinning like a maniac and my friend managed to grab his pants
