And I don't know what to say. Usually I have an opinion within 10 secs of hearing any song, but I don't know how to judge this. It's not bad, but it doesn't stand out.

I'm a huge Pearl Jam fan and I found it boring, it reminds me of Nothing as it Seems and I didn't care for that song at all either.

The thing about Pearl Jam that I'm getting tired of is that they try to be too scholarly in their lyrics. A straight up rocker like Better Man or Animal would do great just about now. I'm so sick of all the slow, mellow crap they've been putting out lately.

"Betterman" is not a straight-up rock song, although "Animal" is. I too found the new song "I Am Mine" to be boring, and not even as good as "Nothing As It Seems". I wonder if their new album Riot Act will be any different than Binarual? So far it doesn't sound like it...

Personally, I like the song... but I agree a rocking first single would have been a change of pace.

ack. I just went to the Five Horizons site and found that Caryn is freezing everything but the concert chronology. :( I'm sad.

joe_canadian: Yeah, one day at a concert he'll just stop playing and be like
