Some of my friends at school showed me their cuts.

They've been cutting themselves. Because "some people handle things differently.".

It depresses me.

its sort of pathetic, the fact that they go around showing people that is
they must really want attenion
its sad when people feel like they have no other way of dealing with thing then extremes like that

They weren't really showing everyone, they just showed me, and themselves, and talking about it...

What I don't get is that I have probably just as many problems as them, and I've never cut myself.

The cuts they made look a little like cat scratches.

Adolescence is one giant plea for help. It's really upsetting that some people think that the only way they can react to problems or get help is to mutilate themselves. :|

my brother used to cut himself when he was a teenager. it *freaked* me out. I begged my parents to take him to a psychiatrist, but I guess they had their own problems to deal with (actually, I KNOW they did) so he just kind of got over it on his own.

I love my parents, but they can be so stupid sometimes.

I thought about doing it for awhile.

But it's really pretty pointless. You're not doing anything except making it obvious that there's something wrong and you need help. Some people, like me, don't always want that kind of attention.

I remember kids in my high school would also burn themselves with lighters. a friend of mine, Jessica, burned a smily face onto her arm. it looked like this:

=)

that really creeped me out. she did it during lunch one day and then showed me in English. I almost tossed my cookies. blech.

Today's Thing:

We had a lab in chem class today, so my teacher only had the chance to say "particular" once. Just wait till he's giving a lesson tomorrow! Mwa ha ha!

My physics teacher has a thing with fish. We've had 4 lessons, and fish have been used in diagrams in each of them.
The textbook also has a duck on almost every page.

I can't hear the world "particular" without hearing Raine's multisyllabic "to you, par-tic-u-a-lar-ly" in my head.

Good lord, my friend did the EXACT same thing in our 9th grade science class. Just goes to show that people are equally stupid the world over.

My good friend has had bouts of depression for years now. Before she went on medication, she tried to slit her wrist and she used to cut herself too. When she went on medication, she was like a completely different person...it was astonishing. Sadly, she decided that she didn't want to take the medicine anymore, and now she's back to her old depressed self. No matter how hard you try, you can't make somebody do something unless they want to do it.

lol, I'm looking at my wrist right now. When I went on vacation to Maine (aka: death), I cut my wrist while attempting to disassemble my cot. So, now it looks like I tried to commit suicide. People have told me that I did it the right way too. I keep on thinking about what's going to happen 10 yrs from now when I'm at an interview to become part of a practice with other psychologists and they see my scarred wrist.
