Good Songs for Beginner Guitarist

Post by Xavier870 »

Anyone suggest anything I can try. I'm not that good yet. I am working on Life, Slide (Goo Goo Dolls), Be Like That (3 Doors Down), and One Last Breath (Creed).
Some of you probably think I left. But was I ever here to start?

life would be quite hard to the whole thing with the two guitars and all! Lets see... when my brother started his guitar "work" he started itt of with

Led Zeppelin - Heartbreaker
Led Zeppelin - Immagrant Song
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
he did some other ones too
now he does:
Oasis - Don't Go Away

thats all i know

Hey man, try getting the tabs for "Adams song", by Blink 182.
It was one of my firsts, its good to work the fingers for a warm up and such...kinda tough for a novice. But after you master that then everything is easy. Enjoy!

Look into Alkaline Trio's "Radio" and "Bleeder" The correct tabs are on their site under multimedia, then tabs. Those songs are pretty easy to master, so yeah, if you wanna learn something quickly, those songs will work.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

here's some good OLP song starters for the beginning, aspiring guitarist:

-Naveed
-4am (I love playing the solo)
-Superman's Dead (probably the easiest OLP song & also fun to play)
-Clumsy
-Thief (simple yet strong)
-Denied
-Bring Back The Sun (the guitar solo is fun on this one as well)
-Story About a Girl
-Stealing Babies
-Supersattelite

well... those are the ones I play most often and are pretty easy to learn

Yeah, word of advice. Don't start off by trying to play Blister or Carnival right away. They frustrate you, like those cracks in the pavement, or something.

Try Mr Jones by Counting Crows. It's really easy, and fun.

Damn, I broke so many E strings on that song. I don't know why...

And though the hum and sway gets me down
