First, Most Resent, Best & Worst

Post by Emily Jane »

I don' t know if this has been brought up before or not, but what was everybody's first, most resent ,best and worst concerts? I'll start:

First:
Matthew Good Band, July 20, 2000, Sarnia Bayfest

Most Reasent:
Watershed III, September 1, 2002, Walkerton, Ontario (Featured Barenaked Ladies and a bunch of country bands I don't terribly like - BNL kicked ass as usual though.)

Best:
(Tie) Paul McCartney, May 1, 2002, Detroit, Michigan (Always a dream of mine to see one of the Beatles in concert. Worth every penny of the $300 my parent shelled out for this, my 17th birthday present.)
(Tie) Our Lady Peace, July 11, 2002, Sarnia Bayfest (By far, the best show of the weekend.)

Worst:
Tragicially Hip, July 12, 2002, Sarnia Bayfest (Band was great, kinda wished I had gone by myself.)

Su7an: I bet Duncan can fly. He's just holding out on showing that skill off. 8O
joe_canadian: Yeah, one day at a concert he'll just stop playing and be like

What was it that made it the worst (if the band was great)?

First: Warped Tour 2000 with Green Day

Most Recent: The Tragically Hip at Darien Lake last Sunday. It was absolutely wonderful. I quit my job over it.

Best: Hmm...this is a toughie. Stone Temple Pilots on April 21st, 2002 at Cornell. The crowd was amazing, and they just put on a hell of a show.

Worst: Warped Tour 2000. Green Day was awesome, but it was way too long (12-8:00), and I didn't really care for any of the other bands that were playing.

I know! I hate this not having been to a concert crap!

However, I've got a shitload of money saved up from my summer job. I'm now awaiting OLP's Canadian tour.

Hmm, I've been to about 20 or so shows and I'm only 15 so this should be fun.

First: Radio show with Goo Goo Dolls, Better Than Ezra, Semisonic

Most Recent: Goo Goo Dolls (with 3EB and Vanessa Carlton)

Best: Our Lady Peace (Toldeo, OH July 21, 2002)
Goo Goo Dolls (Detroit, MI State Theater May 25th, 2002)
Warped Tour 2002 (cuz I got in for FREE)

Worst: The Night 89X Stole Xmas (Bush, Oasis, Blink 182, Ben Harper) the bands were great but I was in the very last right on the very top tier, not fun lemme tell ya.

First: New Kids On The Block 1988 style

Most Recent: OLP in Rochester, NY (August 12, 2002)

Best: OLP in Detroit (March 13, 2001)

Worst: NKOTB, to this day I thank God that I am not into that music anymore.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

First:
Live w/ Luscious Jackson & Manbreak @ the Woodlands Pavilion in houston (september 22, 1997)

Most Recent:
Default w/ Injected & Trik Turner @ La Zona Rosa in austin (august 15, 2002)

Best: Foo Fighters @ the Compaq Center in h-town opening for the chili peppers (who i didnt care too much for at all) (june 5, 2000)
ive seen the foos twice, but i have yet to see them do a full set...its so sad

Worst:
Lenny Kravtiz w/ Black Crowes & Everlast @ the woodlands pavilion (may 2, 1999)
i only went to this cause of lenny (who i liked a lot more then, than i do now), but i hate the black crowes and everlast. lenny was headlining and the black crowes had a longer set than he did...thats just messed up.

Next:
Jimmy Eat World @ the Austin Music Hall (September 12, 2002)
"Sh*t, id be f*ckin' scared if us were opening for...us"
-Dave Grohl on why the Red Hot Chili Peppers only let the Foos play a 45 minute set when they toured together

ill make u make a baby,
let's make electric power,
in fear u should not cower,
cuz girl i will protect u,

"all by myself
cause I don’t want to drag you down, hold you down
cause you’re a friend
i blame myself
i guess you think it’s funny now, funny now
it's such a shame..."
-Feeder - Just a Day

Ya know Susie, everytime you post in a thread, I always have that feeling it involves me. And 80% of the time, I am right.

I've never been to a concert. I'm the most deprived human being on the face of the earth. Wait, unless you count Billy Ray Cyrus and Neal McCoy when I was about 7. Does that count?
Some of you probably think I left. But was I ever here to start?
