I'm 18... moving into my college dorm on sunday, eeeiiii... I've been an OLP fan since I was 13 and a music fan for longer than I can remember... I was brought up on it, my dad was in bands as I was growing up and there was always music being played at home... my parents brought me up on The Police, Sting's solo stuff, The Beatles, The Indigo Girls, Bonnie Raitt, etc... I didn't branch out and find my own music until I was about 11, though. My first musical obsession was Bush, but they were quickly pushed aside once I found OLP.

Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

Whoo Hoo another fan over 30.

I took my friend to see them recently. She wanted to see why I love and follow them like i do.

She said she is surprised older people aren't into them.

the weirdest thing is with gravity I noticed older people at their shows, while others noticed younger. I admit there are the typical, wow i love that song fans etc, and the Raine is so hot fans, but for most part the die hards are still coming out.

scariest thing is in Toledo these two women were saying how they were probably the oldest fans there. They were 2 years younger then me, but looked 10 years older. I am blessed I look younger then I am. I mentioned to Duncan my real age and his jaw dropped. he said I would never have guessed.

*thanks mom and dad for the dna to make me look young gene*

I'm 17, and only just started listening to modern music a little over a year ago (before that, it was all Beatles and the station that played their songs) - and OLP was one of the first bands I got into when I made that step. (Bought Spiritual Machines and I was set for life.)

I'm, eh, fourteen. I always heard about OLP on MM since the Happiness days, but I was BRAINWASHED into the endless downward pop spiral... it makes me sick just thinking about it. Anyway, I remember watching spotlight one day and Chantal was on with Raine, and I'm like, yea, I know him! He's from Our Lady Peace! I would always get OLP mixed up with I Mother Earth and MGB and other Canadian bands. I first really got into OLP when I saw the life video. I had no idea that OLP sounded like that, and I got SM and fell in love with it. It sounds utterly corny, but at the time I was really depressed and the music made me just a little happier. None of my peers listened to good music, so I was all alone. I ended up buying all the cds a few weeks apart from each other, and then I went on the bootleg spree when I had them all. Sadly I can't go to any concerts, because my mother thinks I'll get raped and my friends still aren't really into OLP. I did see the Mentor show though; I was shorter than everyone and was all alone. It was damn worth it though.

I was then to be part of the mystery,
to love and be loved. Let's just hope that is enough.

I'm 16 and I've been a fan since Happiness... I think... Yeah because the first single I heard was Is Anybody Home? That's the song that brought me to OLP. :D
Some of you probably think I left. But was I ever here to start?

I'm 18, been a fan for a year and a half. I wasn't into music before then, except classical stuff and movie soundtracks. Then I started listening to Led Zeppelin and OLP because some of my friends are into them.

I've listened to music through my parents forever, like Grateful Dead and Dylan. When I was 10 I had my first real music I loved on my own......Crash Test Dummies and Green Day. Hehehe. Then OLP in 97.......and ever since. They have been my favorite band since the very first time I heard Superman's Dead way back in the day.

I'm turning 18 in October.........woo hoo!
I, Bethany ( I think it was), still have a horse obsession. And I still have a rabbit that used to be stuffed, but after about 15 years now he's just a rag with two little ears. His name is Foo Foo......and yes I know I'm a loser. Especially cause when I started reading about everyone's blanket I had to go get him, lol.

joe_canadian: Yeah, one day at a concert he'll just stop playing and be like
