Innocent is on the radio right now

Post by trentm32 »

On WRAX, 107.7 Birmingham, Al; Innocent is playing. I'm swaying to the beat in my chair, and singing to it, and typing at the same time.

I heard Clumsy last nite on this station too. I'm the man.

Poop on it!!!!!!

:lando:
"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.

I've heard Innocent twice on the radio already today. It's only 12:18 in the afternoon. Yesterday, I heard OMA. It was the end of a really shitty day, so it made me quite happy.

Damnit, I hate Kingston's K-Rock.

I was hoping to hear it at work today (I usually hear 2-3 OLP songs in a workday), but K-Rock was being a bitch. They're doing a "Top 500 Killer Classics" for the long weekend. They went through some of the 300's today. That means that they played older rock songs all day. Zepplin, The Guess Who, etc... I love all that stuff, but I was really hoping to hear Innocent. :(

When I drove to work today, I heard Innocent, Somewhere Out There, and Clumsy. Then, when I was going to Wendy's on my lunch, I heard Innocent again. :freak: Jeebus...

I know what you're talking about and I thought I was the only one who noticed. I like the way it is on the CD. I don't really like the radio version. (Every time "Innocent" comes on the radio I stop whatever I'm doing and start the CD "Innocent".)

The extra guitar in the beginning really takes away from the musical impact of the second verse (everything's a lot stronger on the CD).

it wouldn't matter anyway Kimmy.
I doubt K-Rock will play it. Maybe LIR might.

I actually heard it on the radio the night of the Rock Hall show in Cleveland.
I am use to not hearing them on the radio. Actually except for the first month, I haven't heard SOT on KROCK at all. I know PLJ was playing it and I assume Z100 will follow since it is in the Top 40.

Oh well. Doesn't matter if they are on the radio or not to me. I have the CD's and rather hear them then what the radio tells me to listen to .Actually the only time I listen to the radio is at work in the morning. I listen to Howard Stern. other then that I will flip through the vidoe channels or listen to CD's.

I heard Greenwheel*brethe* today on Krock.

I hate Kingston radio. Fuck.

I listened to Kingston's K-Rock almost all day at work and didn't hear Innocent. They usually play OLP all the time, but they only played SOT once today.

I was listening so closely to hear Innocent. I swear to god that every second song they played started with a simple drum riff. Fuck. I'd hear drums, drop what I was doing and run to the stereo, but it would always be something else.

I know I could just come home and listen to it, but it's better hearing it on the radio, especially in public or at work.

Fuck.

(sorry 'bout the "Fuck"s. I'm in a fucky mood.)

you need to download Jay and Silent Bob's "Fuck song" best song ever.

ok. getting back on topic. I haven't heard "Innocent" on the radio in a while. But, that's because the only stations I get are NPR and Eastern Michigan University's radio station.
