The Condition of Your OLP CD's
Awwww...... I don't know why I can't go. Everyone in my family LOVES Creed, and I just spent a whole month at the cottage. Stupid parents and their damned ideas!
Anyways, when it's over, can you get your friend to tell you what it was like and maybe post the songs that were played? I'd really appreciate it.

Some of you probably think I left. But was I ever here to start?

One day when I came back from a eight hour shift at Meijer (supermarket), I found my CDs ransacked by a seven year-old and my computer tampered to the point of needing a reformat.
The following songs skip:
Naveed:
Under Zenith
Neon Crossing
Clumsy:
Automatic Flower
Carnival
Big Dumb Rocket
Happiness...:
One Man Army
Happiness and the Fish
Potato Girl
Blister
Waited
Theif
Lying Awake
Annie
Consequence of Laughing
Stealing Babies
(I think this is trashed)
Spiritual Machines and Gravity was in the CD changer
Oasis' Be Here Now was also a victim: Don't go away messes up my cd player.
I am pissed

Ha mine are all in horrible condition. all the cds skip. I don't like putting the cds in a case when im driving. So i learned, when you buy a cd, rip it to your computer. Ive bought clumsy 4 times, and naveed 2 times but now that i have a burner, whenever i need a new cd i just burn it.

my cds are lookin and soundin pretty good in general, but naveed is gettin a little skippy, right at the peak of starseed too
i try and keep them in good condition, but as the saying goes, shit happens. like orange juice spilling into your cd case and mold growing in the little pockets even though you cleaned the whole thing profusely, and then the cds that you thought you wiped clean still having some kind of slimy residue. you know, shit like that.

I woke up to "One Man Army" today and discovered that that song badly skips. Actually, the whole cd skips!!!! This lead me to the actualization that these stupid burned cds that are missing a few key songs just aren't cutting it anymore. (everyone knows what happened to my original cd's, so I'm not going to explain that). So. Here's my idea. Everyone send a dollar to me.
That way, I can buy the first four cds all over again, and I will be happy
. No giving Bethany a dollar=she has to deal with skipped burned cds that are missing essential songs, because she can't afford to buy new cds on her own.
sound like a plan?

sound like a plan?

HARDCORE!!!
OMG. I can't believe I din't think fo you
until now because when I think on
a scale of one to ten you're like YWELVE.
No, seriously?
I <3 my HLP!!!!!

Even though I listen to all my OLP cd's ALL the time, I still somehow manage to keep them in mint condition! I'm a little pissed off though because when I first bought Spiritual Machines, the case was already broken. I didn't HAVE to buy it but it was the last one left and I didn't want to wait any longer to buy it. Afterwards I ended up buying the limited edition one anyways, so it is all good! Oh, and if you go to music world, you will be very surprised to see that SM is almost $30.00 there when all the other ones are only like $15.00! Anywho, BIG IMPORTANT NEWS! This is spam, but it's worth it, TRUST ME! QUICKLY! GO TO SHOPPER'S DRUG MART AND BUY THE TEEN PAC'S BECAUSE THEY HAVE MAGAZINES FEATURING OUR LADY PEACE ON THE COVER!!!! AHHHH!
Love you all lots!

Love you all lots!

Am obsessive-compulsive about my CDs, so all are in excellent condition, though constantly separated from their respective booklets, and all the original cases are 2500 miles away, packed in a basement somewhere.
On a sort of related note, I once lent a girl Clumsy; she promptly lost it. Reappeared weeks later as the default CD in the boombox in the girls' bathroom at my high school. Would occasionally walk by the bathroom and hear "Superman's Dead" wafting out and think, "Hey, there must be somebody else at this school who likes OLP!" Didn't wait too long to find out, though, since it had been there a while and nobody claimed it. Assumed it was mine, and took it. The world may never know...
Never let that girl borrow anything again, though.
(Oh, um, I'm new. Hi.)

The tragic tale of "OLP: Live and Unreleased"
Oh, and one more horror story about the condition of my OLP cds, and the perils of messing with karma...
Okay, so I was shopping at the CD store last summer, when I came across a copy of SM that had that cool free live CD attached to it. But I was poor! And I already had SM! So, I did what any self-respecting, clever OLP fan would do in the situation: I spent ten minutes separating the two CDs and took the live one. I tried to pay for it, I really did, but since there was no price tag on it and the cashier was totally clueless, he gave it to me for free.
I felt very badass.
So, last fall I had all five OLP CDs in my stereo CD-changer (this was before Gravity, so it was the four albums and that super-cool live one). Then I got grounded, and my dad took my stereo, WITH ALL THE CDS IN IT away and hid it in the basement. After much teary begging and pleading, he agreed to give me back the CDs but keep the stereo until I "learned my lesson" or whatever. BUT in the scuffle of relocating the stereo, the "Live and Unreleased" CD got trapped in the back of it, and he had to take the entire thing apart just to get the CD out.
When we finally did get it out, it was beyond repair. Which really sucked, since it's not something that could be easily replaced.
I guess it was fate telling me I shouldn't steal... or something.
