Does anyone actually know the difference between the two versions of the In Repair video? Some say that the endings are differnet, but no one seems to know what's actually different about them.
Yeah, there is two versions. The first version was played when the song first came out. Then, for some reason i don't know, the made a second version with some new parts added to the ending. They haven't played the first version in awhile. Ok, so this is the difference: (I could be wrong though)
First Version
-Camera zooms towards brown door
-Man and kid walking with that dog thing jumping around
Second Version
-Camera zooms towards brown door
-Shows the guy sitting in the chair. He then fades away with a cool effect.
-Zooms to a guy sticking out of a chimney.
-Shows an adult and a child walking away from the camera in a field.
-The three-legged thing bounces around the field, then comes up to the camera. You see that thing on a white background, then it zooms in on it's face and ends by fading to white.
I have the first version on my computer if anyone wants it, but i don't have the second one.
You know what else i noticed. In the second version, when that beige/brown guy with the bolt things spinning around him is walking by those houses, it looks like it is raining. But in the first version, there is no rain.
i could be totally wrong about this though, so don't trust me.
makes you wonder why exactly they did a second version...
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

I have the second version as the CD EXTRA on the Spiritual Machines album, and I got the album the day it came out...March of 2001, but wasn't the album released earlier in canada, so maybe version 1 is an early canadian version of the video and version 2 was made to put on the american CD and for american release. that's my best guess. just another one of those OLP being weird things.
SM came out December 12th, 2000... the original video for In Repair went for like 6 weeks so probably up until around x-mas and then they changed it.

the video came out before the CD did...
first singles always come out before the cd...

Yes, Somewhere Out There came out a good three months before Gravity was released.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.
I wish I could check the Canadian SM cd, but noooo, apparently all black casing screams "steal me" when you're in high school. Fuck my old high school, fuck them in the ass...

I have bad luck with SM. The first one I bought (I skipped school and crossed the boarder to get it) wound up stolen during my tennis season. The second one I bought was put in a car cd player, and since coming out is a scratched up mess. It's like I am not allowed to own that cd. Alan sad.

my copy is a total wreck. i don't know how it got that way. i totally treat it as well as my other cd's, in fact i listen to happiness...ALL THE TIME, and it barely has a scratch. SM is covered in scratches and is actually cracked around the doughnut hole part. There's two big cracks there, but they don't reach out to the data recorded part, thank god. i can't afford to buy a new one..and it just wouldn't be the same as the first.
okay..done spamming...back to in repair videos....ahhh...i love that song AND video.
my brother ruined my Clumsy and Happiness CD's to the point where they no longer play anything at all... not even a hum,
