a lot of olp stuff isn't single style, especially from SM, but that's one of the things that makes me like it more. not everyone gets to hear it, only the people special enough to buy the cd and recognize that some of the best stuff is never heard by the masses... :mrgreen:

I picked Naveed. Their masterpiece song, in my opinion. I absolutely LOVE the guitar riffs in between verses!

I went with One Man Army... but it was a tough choice... I also had 4am and theif as other possibilities

In Repair is one of OLP's most brilliant songs. It is probably the song that you would least expect to be on the radio. It is absolutly brilliant.

And if I don't make it known that I've voted for 4am, just like sunny days we ignore because everyone else is dumb and jaded.

I chose Life, but that is mainly because it's the song that introduced me to OLP. The first time I heard this song was when I saw the video back early last year and I made it a point to buy SM a few months later when I got enough money to get it. Yep, that was one year ago this month and the thing didn't leave my CD player until October - which was plenty of time for the world to change, the lyrics to every song to become just that much more meaningful and to give birth to a now hardcore fan.

I dunno, alot of people seem to like that one from what I hear...
I'd say the most un-talked about OLP song would have to be "Is It Safe?"... no one says a thing about that song even though it's a really powerful song, and the lyrics leave an even stronger message about the actions and consequences of abuse (at least that's what I get out of it)

"I saw something there much to familiar... a butterfly with a broken wing"
"she's walking backwards, she's spun around, her ears are ringing louder and louder and loud... she's on her knees, please understand... it's obvious this man must bend"

^ definately, Is It Safe is a great song, but no one ever includes it in any favorite list or anything, i've never even heard of it ever being played live.

i loooooooove is it safe. it is quite splendid and one of my personal favs as well..i love the guitar in the beginning. however, for the poll...
CLUMSY=my favorite song ever. 2nd-Naveed, 3rd-Theif.

and im spent.
Whats a signature?

It all seems so contaigious, not to be yourself and faceless in a song that has no soul.

And maybe you just need, a friend, as clumsy as youve been...

Oh yes, most definitely, but for me the best part is the "It's Gone" 's especially in the acoustic version ..... just so powerful.
