I think between like 12 and 15 you really develope your taste for music... most ppl either go rock or they go rap.
all of us seem to have gone the rock route and I think OLP helped pull us into that route and to thank them for not pushing us toward rap we continue to listen to their music and be fans of their work.

I can remember being 13 and up until this point listening to like...Hootie and the Blowfish..hahaha...and deciding what sort of musical route I wanted to take. That's when I started listening to Bush, Silverchair, 311, Pearl Jam, and stuff like that. But it was when I turned on the radio one night and heard a station premiere of this brand new song, that music really started to change my life, help me get some direction with myself. That song was Superman's Dead, and as soon as I heard it, I knew this band that was going to change the way I thought and was going to stick with me....and they did!

I'm 17...

I've been a fan ever since i heard supermans dead back in the day A.K.A gr.6 so I'd say it's been about 5 years...maybe a little more. I got into them when i was like 12 and i totally appreciated clumsy for everything it was.

I dunno, even though i was only 12 i totally got it and was completely taken back..it still remains my favourite album ever.

So ya, young age I guess...I'm gonna be a lifer'

let's see, I'm 15, proud of it too. :P I first got into OLP when my cousin played me Clumsy and the first song I heard was Automatic Flowers, then my aunt bought me Clumsy for Christmas I think when I was 11, or 12, I forget, then I heard Starseed on the radio a little while after and heard that it was the same band, so then I bought Naveed, and I've been a huge fan ever since ..

My friend actually gave me Clumsy cause he didn't want it, way back in 97... He had one of those Columbia house 11 cd's for a penny deals and he chose Clumsy as one of his choices... He never listened to it so he asked if i wanted it and just like that i was hooked.

I am 18 and have liked them since I was 12...I started early
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

I'm 18 and I've been an olp fan for a long time! I started liking them in about 1995 when I first heard 'Hope' and 'Starseed' on the radio a few times. Wow! That is a long time! :)

I wish I heard OLP when I was 12 yrs old...but like I said, I was into that poppy junk and was a giant (I mean really big) fan of classical music. It was quite funny...I would blast my Mozart and Debussy outside my window. I truly was a freak at 12. I've been told that I "follow the beat of a different drummer." :freak:

(looks back down memory lane)...

i got into OLP when i heard a live version of 4am on a local radio station... they didnt and still dont play much OLP down where i live... i fell in love, bought clumsy, surfed the net and found Naveed, and of course as all the others have said, been hooked ever since...

im now 20, that would have been 98, so i was 16 when i got addicted... what a good addiction 8-)

Ahahaha. Hanson was my favorite band when I was 12.

I first heard Our Lady Peace when I was 14. I had just gotten Much Music, and I heard "One Man Army," That was and still is my favorite olp song. I bought Happiness... after seeing the video a few times. I fell in love with that CD. A few months later I bought Clumsy and fell in love with that one, and then I bought Naveed. When Spiritual Machines came out, I ordered it on the net because I didn't want to wait for it to be released in the states. :-)
I'm 17 now, and olp is still my favorite band.
don't look now, just keep watching the TV hating what's too see waiting for someone to say something that's right.

I'm 18 and have been a fan since i was around 11-12. I think it was 95 when i heard naveed and i became a casual OLP fan.

It was when i heard Superman's Dead that i really became interested. That really hooked me.

But it was One Man Army that sealed my fate :D

I'm 16, and I've been a fan since right after SM came out. All I know is that In Repair was on video rotation at the time. My friend got me to download Superman's Dead (more as a joke than anything, because of the whiney falsetto). Well, I couldn't get enough of it. I bought Clumsy. Then I bought Happiness... because I'd downloaded a bunch of songs, and it had a lot of the ones that I'd downloaded. I then bought Naveed, because I wanted some good guitar riffs to play. Then I got SM for an Easter present... Hmm... I guess it was early winter of 2001 that I got into them. I know for sure that there was snow on the ground (and falling) when my friend and I were talking about SD.

I'm a hardcore fan right now, and I plan to stay that way for a long time.
