Routines to Songs

I have a problem I thought some of you might be able to help me with:)

I have a horse that I show. There is a class at shows that only Western riders (I ride english) can participate in called freestyle reining. So....for years I've been wishing, and FINALLY...........at my next show there is a class for freestyle english pattern.

The deal is this. You pick a song and do a pattern to it. You also have to have a costume or theme that goes with the song. PLUS.......we only have two minutes so the song would have to be cut off.

I want an OLP one, natrually. I already had a routine to The Wonderful Future, buts its hard to get a costume theme and it would break my heart to cut it off after I worked so much on it. Superman's Dead could work............

Even other bands. Island in the Sun by Weezer is a possibility, The Energy bu Audiovent, ect.

Anyways.............what songs would be good, and what would the costume be to go with it?? The beats I'm looking for are two and three beated gaits, so anything that would work with that, and songs that have a lot of beat changes for lots of interesting possibilities.

Don't Panic by Coldplay is pretty short. And you could dress in "yellow".
picturize the nights and days you close the book and float away and somehow in between you gotta master lying to yourself you max your cards get out of school you get a job your job gets you and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else

It has to be a pretty obvious connection though. I'll check out the song. Like..........Island in the Sun= hawaiin shirts. Superman's Dead =Superman.

Also.......no swears or drug refrences, which basically discredits half the songs I know.

LORI- The costume is for us both. I would dress up, and she would have matching leg wraps, ect. Basically, I wear the main part of the costume and she accents it, lol. They actually make glitter paint and stuff for horses, sparkly polish for their feet and hair........its insane.

OLP's songs don't have dress upable themes. I guess I should be thankful, lol, but its hard at times like this:)

Hmm.. I'm going through my winamp and here's what I've found:
One More Astronaut - I Mother Earth
Tangerine - Moist (heh, hey got a tangerine costume??)
hahah do Potato Girl!!! dress yourself up as a potato? that would be great..
Wow, that's tough, sorry those were pretty lame ideas. Hope you find one though!

Hmmm.......thanks for the ideas. I've never heard One More Astronaut, and don't have the cd, which is a problem. Maybe I'll get some more ideas together and have my friend burn me a cd of some of them. OOOOoooooo, space suit? LOL.

There is always the Aerosmith cover of the Spiderman song thats on the Spiderman soundtrack. Ahahaha...........THAT is a good fun costume :nod:

I really like Unwritten Law's Up All Night, but the cigarette and roach refrences are a little problem, lol.

ride in a costume of regular clothes that you wear because, well you are a girl and it is summer
