They didn't play Are You Sad at the show I went to either (Toledo) but they did do an acoustic version of it at the Mi. In-store, which was absolutely amazing. - Megan

The review for the Lancaster show on olp.cc says they played 5 songs from Clumsy. Normally it would be Superman's Dead, Automatic Flowers, 4 AM, and Clumsy. That's only 4, so yeah, Big Dumb Rocket would make sense. It's weird that they didn't keep it in the set, though. That song's awesome, they should open with it instead of All for You.

luckyJQ9 wrote:hehe..the my mental error on the Mafia thing has already been clearified. I meant to say that they played In Repair, wrote the wrong thing by mistake. And I'm pretty positive that they played Big Dumb Rocket because as soon as they started I couldn't believe it, and me and my sister turned to eachother at the same time as were like, "holy crap, that's big dumb rocket...why are they playing that?" Plus I remember everybody going nuts and me singing along annoyingly loud. It was the Lancaster show and I don't know anyone else who went, although I wish I did.

My only guess as to why they did it was that someone requested it. I think they did it in place of Are You Sad? because they've played that at most of the other shows and all the shows surrounding the one on June 4th, and they didn't play it June 4th.

you are the only person I know who said they did BDR at this show. That is why I asked. I know a few people who went and this si the set list they gave me( one person actually got a copy form the band)

AFY, DYLI, SD, NAveed, AF, NE, BBTS, SAAG, IAH, OMA, MAFIA, INNOCENT, SOT, WHATEVER, LIFE
encores: CLUMSY, 4AM and STARSEED.

the reason I ask is they rarely did that song with MIKE so I can't understand why they would play one show with Steve. It just seems weird to me.

maybe i'm imagining things...but if i did imagine it, it was damn good anyways  . i keep thinking i could be wrong but then i specifically remember it, although i didn't write the setlist down, i should have. i asked my sister, who was there and she said they played it. hmm...if i ever meet them i'll ask them when the last time they played bdr in concert was. that could settle this once and for all. other than that the setlist you wrote was pretty much how they played it i think. no are you sad? that made me sad...but that's why i thought they played bdr instead. oh well, the puzzling mystery may never be solved. :freak:
