It's not even point, it's just that nothing can really ever go right for that goddamn team. First we get that goddamn no goal thing-a-ma-jig, which I'm sure everyone who isn't a Buffalo fan is soo sick of hearing about, but us Buffalo fans are really not over it yet. Then John LeClair shoots a puck through the side of the net during the playoffs. Now, our team is almost bankrupt and the ex-owners of the team were just arrested for conspiracy and fraud.

I just want to watch hockey. :|

Keep your chin up. The Sabres may have a breakout year. I mean, you still have Tim Connolly at center with 35 assists last season. I wouldn't mind having a player like that on the second line. You have Maxim Afinogenov and Stu Barnes both 40+ points last season. And you just picked up Jochen Hecht who can produce.

Not to mention a shitload of awesome young goalies. :P In a few years, this team is gonna be pretty good. Afinogenov, Barnes, JP DuMont, Connolly, Taylor Pyatt, and we got a lot of good defensemen.

Oh just keep telling yourself this, Arlie. Ha, I had a dream last nite that Stu Barnes got traded. I was so pissed off.

(Jul 31) BUFFALO, New York (Ticker) -- The Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday re-signed center Chris Gratton and defensemen Rhett Warrener and Brian Campbell.

Terms were not disclosed.

Gratton was one of five Sabres who played all 82 games last season. Buffalo's top faceoff performer, he was sixth on the team in scoring with 15 goals and 24 assists, despite a 28-game goal-scoring drought.

Warrener, 26, has been among the Sabres' leaders in plus-minus over the last three seasons and was a plus-15 in 2001-02. He was third on the team with 113 penalty minutes last season to go with five goals and five assists in 65 games.

"Rhett has been an integral part of our defense corps and in the leadership of our team over the past four seasons," general manager Darcy Regier said. "Chris has been great on faceoffs and adds size at the forward position."

Campbell, 23, had three goals and three assists in 29 games for Buffalo, spending most of last season with Rochester of the American Hockey League. Despite playing just 45 games for the Amerks, he was fifth in scoring with two goals and 35 assists.

"Brian developed at both ends of the ice last season," Regier said. "We look forward to him continuing his development with our organization."

Thank god they signed Rhett Warrener. They'd be lost without him.

Jesus Christ Arlie is hot....anyways, I only care about hockey when it gets into the last two months of the season. Before then the games are really trivial. With college football, you have to go out there and win every game to win it all, unlike with any other sport where you can suck for a month, come back, win a few games, and be a favorite to win it all. God I love college football and can't wait for it to start. Go Blue!
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

 Thank you...I guess...

Anyways, you only care about hockey in the last 2 months. I hate myself for missing one game let alone a whole half of the season.
